You had me at hello
- Jerry McGuire_____________________________________
"I don't get why I got dragged into this?"
I looked away from the dresses - that I was browsing through - towards Sky, who looked bored out of his mind, as he sat on the plush seats.
"Because you love me," I reminded, going back to my browsing, and Sky got up from his place.
"Sadly," he sighed dramatically, randomly taking out a dress, and throwing it my way. "How about this one?"
I caught it, and after examining it, snorted. "Do you really want me to wear that?" I showed him the corset that barely reached my mid-thigh.
"Forget I said anything," Sky choked, and I nodded in agreement.
Heath's hospital was hosting a charity event for cancer next week, and we were invited. However, since Sky had to go back to college and couldn't stayed, I roped him up in finding me the perfect dress for the event.
But we were clearly failing at that.
Taking out a purple sheath dress, I showed it to Sky. "How about this one?" Sky looked at it, and scrunched his nose in disgust.
"Too short."
"This one?" The green dress seemed to have a decent length.
"That isn't your colour."
"This?"
"Nah."
Sky and I could not seem to settle on one dress and in the end, I growled, "Sky, we're getting nowhere with this."
Sky nodded, dropping back on the seat. "That I can agree with," he sighed. Then suggested, "Let's eat something first, and then try some other shop."
My face brightened as I put the ugly dress aside. "That I can totally agree with," I repeated what he had said earlier.
We walked out the shop, and were on our way towards the food court when I heard my name being called out. I looked around and saw Paris walking towards me.
"Paris! Hey," I smiled as she got close enough, though it surprised me when she pulled me in a big hug.
Roman had mentioned Paris was big on hugging, but that still didn't make me feel comfortable, being engulfed by a somewhat stranger.
"How are you?" I asked, a bit awkwardly and Paris gracefully replied, in her French accent, "I'm good. You?"
I was about to reply when Sky cleared his throat. Rolling me eyes, I introduced, "Right this is my brother Sky and this is-" I stopped, because I haven't told Sky about Roman. And I wasn't sure how Sky would take the news, because he had clearly heard about Roman from Arden.
"She's a friend's sister - Paris."
Sky raised an eyebrow in suspicion."I know most of your friends. So whose sister is she?"
"Well, you see I recently made new-" I was saved from having to explain when Penelope appeared by Paris's side."Faith. It's so good to see you again," she smiled, as she too, engulfed me in her arms. "How are you?"
"I'm great," I told her. "How are you doing?" I asked and Penelope winked. "Magnificent was always," she replied.
"You can say that again," Sky breathed out, gazing at Penelope with a dreamy look, and I rolled my eyes.
"Sky," I called his name, and when he didn't answer, I waved my hand in front of his eyes.
He swatted my hand away, and straighten in place. Taking Penelope's hand, he kissed it. "How have we never met before?" He sauvaed.
"I am so sorry in advance for whatever is going to come out of his mouth next," I apologized from behind Sky, looking at the two girls. Paris hid her smile behind her hand, while Penelope rolled her eyes.
"Faith. How many times have we told you not to interrupt when two adults are talking," Sky chided, giving me a meaningful look to shut up.
However, Penelope beat me to a reply as she pulled her hand back and haughtily asked, "Where's the second adult?"
I gruffed on a fit of laughter, while Sky only smirked. "Go out with me and I'll show you just how much of an adult I am," he winked.
"Yeah. I'll pass," Penelope dismissed with a wave of her hand, looking bored out of her mind, which absolutely left me and my brother shocked.
No girl had ever denied Sky's advance before, which is why Sky scoffed, "Excuse me?" While I burst out laughing.
"You just got rejected," I sang. Sky flipped me off, before turning to Penelope with his smouldering look, that apparently no girl could deny. His words, not mine.
"I think you're taking me for some wannabe. Trust me. I can show you some real good time," Sky flirted, though Penelope only snorted in response.
"Trust me," she started, saying the words Sky had. "I know exactly who I'm taking you for, and I'm not interested. If it's a date you want, get in line."
Flipping her hair, she grabbed Paris's hand. "C'mon Paris," she said, as she started pulling her amused friend away.
"Bye Faith," the two waved and I waved back as the two disappeared in the crowd.
I looked at Sky, only to find him glaring at the direction Penelope had gone off to. "Who does she think she is?" He pouted crossing his arms.
"She's an aspiring French model, who's clearly not interested," I relied the information I had gotten from Roman, and from what I had seen myself. "Move on," I advised.
But my idiot of a brother only smirked. "We'll see about that," he challenged and I shook my head.
What was the idiot going to do now?♡♡♡
Sorry for the late update.
But I had an assignment due and I have never been good with deadlines. XDAnywho, who enjoyed Sky getting rejected?
And do you think he'll be able to change Penelope's mind?Next chapter will be posted on time. ;)
