Veronica's POV

Betty left a few minutes after she told me everything. She said something about nothing staying at her house anymore. I asked her where she would stay. She said maybe at Cheryl's and Toni's, but she doesn't want to stay there long.

Now I'm laying in bed at eleven not being able to sleep. I hate nights like these. Where you can't fucking sleep. I'm just thinking, thinking about how screwed up Betty's life is right now. How long would she staying with her friends? I'm glad she told me this.

Betty's POV

I got Cheryl's and Toni's house, but I didn't go in. I hesitated from doing anything. I turned around to walk off and I no I wasn't going home. I didn't want to go to a house with my sister and her kids and people I don't even know. "Betty?" I heard. I stopped. Damnit. I turned and saw Cheryl. "Hey Cheryl." I said. "What are you doing here?" She asked. "How did you know I was here?" I asked. "I saw you walking as I looked out of the window." I nodded. "Oh. Well I was wondering if I could stay here for a few days. Only a few days I don't want to intrude on yours and Toni's life." She smiled. "Of course! Stay here as long as you'd like we don't mind." I smiled back. "Okay." I said and walked inside.

The next morning

I was the first one up. I went and got something to eat. "Hey Betty! When did you get up?" "Jesus!" I jumped. I looked over and saw Toni. "Hi Toni." I said. "You okay?" I sighed. "No, I just scared me half to death." She laughed a little and walked to the fridge. "I'm sorry." I glared at her. "It's not funny. Anyway, I just got up a few minutes ago. Why?" She shrugged and looked at me. "I don't know." "Hey wheres Cheryl? She does know it's Thrusday?" Toni nodded and say across from me. "Yea she's been up the passed couple of hours." "Huh? What?" I asked. She nodded again. "Yea she's getting ready for school." "Wow okay? "Yea. That happens every morning." I sighed. "Yea okay."

I got around for school and about thirty minutes later Cheryl finally came out of her room. "Hey." She said as she walked by me. "Hi." I replied. She walked over to Toni and kissed her. I sighed and looked down at my phone. As I did it buzzed. It was text from Veronica.

Veronica

I'm bored. Just wanted to text you hi.

Im bored too. Hi.

Hey how did it go with asking your friends if you could stay over with then.

It went well it's just I don't want to stay with them long. They said it was fine, but I just don't want to intrude.

Oh yea. Are you on your way to school yet?

No. I don't usually leaving till like 6:20.

Oh okay. Well I'm just sitting at school and it's quiet.

*I laughed a little.*

That must really suck.

Eh, just a little bit. It's just a little lonely cause no body talks to each other. We just sit in own classrooms and do whatever we need to do.

I'm just sitting in my friends living room and texting you so I guess that's about the same level of boring.

Yea I guess so.

You know I miss you...

I miss you too

**I smiled even more and blushed. "Okay I can't do it anymore!" I heard Cheryl say. I looked over at her. "Who are you texting?" She asked walking over to me. I quickly turned my phone off and put it in my pocket. "What nobody." I told her. "You think I'm gonna believe that? Come on spill who's the lucky woman?" I just looked at her for a second. "Wait I didn't tell you I was--" I stopped and looked at Toni who was smiling a little bit. "Ugh! Toni?" I said. She lokekd at me. "What? Does it matter in this friendship? We're all gay." I rolled my eyes. "True." I muttered. "So spill." I shook my head. "It was just Kevin. He was asking if--" She cut me off. "No. No. No. Who is it?" I sighed. "It was just that Evelyn girl from the farm. She asked my mom for my number and all she does is say how exciting it is that she's moving on with us." I sighed. "Oh. Well yea your never going back to that house ever again." Cheryl said. "Anyways let's get to school." She finished. Her and Toni walked out of the door and I let out a sigh of relief. I quickly followed behind them.

That was fucking easy.

Again! Short I know.
