Veronica's POV

We were tangled up in bed just laughing and giggling the whole time. But she stopped laughing and looked at me. I was still laughing a little. "What?" I giggled.

"Veronica..." she trailed off. I sat up, covering myself with the sheets. I looked down at her.

"What is it?" I asked kind of worriedly. She sat up to and looked at me. She sighed. "Betty?"

"Well, I was thinking--"

"Oh, no! That did not go well last time you said that." I said cutting her off. She quickly looked at me and shook her head.

"What? No?! That's not what I'm doing." She said. I let out a small sigh of relief. "Sorry if I scared you." I shook my head.

"No, it's fine. Just those words never really end off well with us." She nodded.

"I know." She mumbled.

"Okay, continue. What were you saying?" I asked still a little worried.

"Well, we spend all of our time cooped up in this house." She said. I nodded. "But we can't do anything in this small town." I nodded once again.

"Okay? Where are you going with this?" I questioned. She smiled.

"Well, this town is to small, we can't leave this place, my friends suck, but it's almost Christmas break aaannndd I was thinking... maybe we could go on a trip or something. That's cheesy I know, but it's the first thing that came to my head." She said. I smiled and put my hand on her face.

"I love it, but I was just planning on..." I slowly moved my hand up her arm. "Staying here with you and we could be together. Just the two of us..." I reached the blanket that was wrapped around her chest. "Alone..." I slowly started to creep my hands around the edge to pull it off. "In the house. All break..." I started to slowly pull the blanket away from her. "Just us together, and maybe right here?" I said. She bit her lip and I kissed her. You know what happens...

We woke up and went to school. I was sitting in the classroom by myself. The door opened and I was expecting Betty, but it wasn't her. "What are you three doing here?" I asked when I saw her friends Cheryl, Toni and Kevin, but another one walked in. I knew that one. Jughead. "To talk." Cheryl said. I rolled my eyes and looked towards her giving her my full attention. I crossed my arms. "What?" I asked annoyed. "I wanna make amends." She said. I scoffed. "Doubt it." She sighed and sounded like She was trying not to kill me. "Okay." She whispered. "Betty won't listen to me. And I hoped maybe you would so please just listen." She said. "Fine. What is it?" I asked. "I seriously want to apologize about everything I've done." She said. "And I want you to exept it. And talk to Betty to." I rolled my eyes and looked at the other three. They all looked scared or something. They were starring intently at Cheryl. Like they were waiting for something. I looked back at Cheryl. "How do I know you want go and tricks again?" I asked. "I promise." She said. "I'll have to talk to Betty about it." I said. She sighed with relief.  "Okay. Thank you. I really need her to know." Cheryl said then the bell rung and Betty came walking in. She looked at all five of us. "What's going on here?" She asked. I looked from Cheryl to her. "We'll talk later, babe." I said. Then Betty went to her seat and so did Cheryl and Kevin. And Toni left.

"You know sometimes I hate teaching." I told Betty. She laughed.

"Then why did you become a teacher." I sighed.

"It's what I've always wanted to do. For as long as I can remember. Plus, if I didn't become a teacher you would probably still be hiding the fact that you gay." I said and looked at her.

"Yeah, even though I'm in a friend group with Kevin, Cheryl and Toni. And including Jughead who is straight yes, but wouldn't and doesn't mind. It was just a thing that I knew my mom probably wouldn't like." She said. I nodded.

"Well, your mom sucks." It was quiet. "Betty, there's something I need to talk to you about." I said. She looked at me.

"What is it?" She asked.

"You know your friends were in my room this morning and everything." She nodded.

"Yeah, I was gonna ask about that. What did they want?"

"I was gonna tell you. Cheryl wants me to talk to you about forgiving her."

"No." She said almost immediately.

"I knew you would say that." I said.

"Wait. Were you thinking on forgiving them?" She asked. I nodded.

"A little. I mean, she did sound like she was telling the truth." She scoffed.

"She's Cheryl. She makes it sound like that then she turns her back on you."

"I know, but--" she interrupted me.

"Do you want us to be torn apart? Forgiving Cheryl is just putting you, putting us in a bad place. She'll be nice and act sorry, and as time goes on she'll be backing us into a corner and there's no escape. We may have gotten away every other time, but what happens when we finally don't? Huh? And I'm sorry to bring this up, but who would calm you down if the thing with Archie comes to your mind and I'm not there?" I looked down. "It's fine if you want to forgive Cheryl, but I'm not. I'm not willing to let Cheryl ruin our relationship." She said walking out of the room.

I sighed and just sat in the bedroom alone. She's right. Each time we forgave Cheryl or whatever it always came back to bite us in the ass. Then I heard the front door open then shut. I quickly got up and ran downstairs. I opened the door and Betty was walking away from the house. "Betty, what are you doing?" I asked. She looked back at me. "I need to go talk to Cheryl. I'll be back before dark. I promise." She said and continued to walk off. I sighed and shut the door. I fucked up.
