Betty's POV

When class was over I tried to stay as far away from Cheryl as possible. I could tell she knew something was up. When Veronica texted me telling me that she was looking at us I was scared and nervous. My heart was racing with panic. When I made it to my next class without being stopped I let out a sigh of relief.

Veronica's POV

As the last class eneded my phone buzzed again. I smiled thinking it was Betty, but it wasn't. It was my damn ex. I answered it

"I found out where you are."

"What the hell? What are you talking about?"

"Riverdale, right? I know you've always wanted to become a teacher so are you working at Riverdale high?"  I felt my heart racing with fear.

"What are you talking about? How would you know that?" I asked freaking out a bit.

"Im standing out the school right now. Come out and we can talk." He said.

"Hell no!" I said and shut the classroom door.

"Oh well I could just come in then." He said.

"No wait. I'll... I'll come out." I said.

"Good. I'm right outside the front doors." He said.

I sighed and I felt myself started to shake and freak out. I got up and walked to the front of the school. I could see him before I even walked outside.

When I did get outside I saw him. I saw his red hair and brown eyes and his obnoxious face. There were kids leaving the school and outside of the school. "What do you want?" I asked. He smiled at me with his sweet smile.
"Can we talk?" He asked. "Why?" I asked. "Well I to talk about us, but I don't want to do it here." He said. I rolled my eyes. Me being the stupid me I handed him a peice of paper with my address on it. "Come here, tonight." I told him. "What's this?" He asked. "My address." I said and walked back inside.

I walked back to my classroom and saw Betty standing in there. She had a smile spread across her face. This made me smile. "Did you need something?" I asked forgetting all my troubles, including my ex. "Well I was wondering if I could come over tonight?" She asked, biting her lower lip. I smiled. "I mean if I think I know what your talking about then yes." I said. She took a step closer to me. I hope we don't get caught. "What do you think I'm talking about?" She questioned. "I guess I'll find out tonight." I said and reached for my bag. "What are you looking for?" Betty asked. "Something." I reliped. I looked inside of it until I found what I was looking for. I pulled out an extra key to my house. "Here." I said handing it to her. "What is this?" She asked. "A key to my house. You can just come over whenever and not have to knock." I said. "Okay? Thanks." She said still smiling. "You seem to be in a happy mood today." I said. She shrugged. "I don't know. Maybe I'm just happy." "Okay. See you tonight." I said. "Yea. I love you." She lowered her voice a bit. "I love you too." I whispered back and she left.

When I got back to my house it was about almost five. I ate a very lonely and boring dinner that was just a salad. As I was putting the bowl in the sink there was a knock at the door. I smiled thinking it was Betty. I went and started opening the door. "I thought I have you a key..." I stopped as I saw my ex. "Oh it's you." I said dissapointedly. "Come in." I said and he walked inside and I shut the door. "So what did you want to talk about?"
"I want to know why you left me. You haven't responded to any of my texts in a while." He said. "Maybe that's because I don't want to be with you anymore." I said. "Why? What did I do to make you leave me?" He asked. I rolled my eyes. "Are you serious?" I asked. "What?" "Oh my god. You were always out drinking!" I said. "Well I didn't hurt you did I?" He asked. "No." I said. "No. Exactly. So what made you leave?" He asked. I sighed trying not to yell. He just pisses me off all the time. "You always come home drunk and with a massive hangover and I could never do what I wanted because I was helping you." I said. "Yea, but I loved you and we were also engaged." He said. "What?" I heard a small voice say from the door. We both looked over and saw Betty. "Oh uhh what are you doing here so early?" I asked. "I was just coming early. Who is this?" She asked pointing to my ex. I sighed. "This is my ex." I said. "Archie Andrews." I finished. "I'm gonna go." He said and walked out of the front door, shutting it. I quickly looked from Betty to the other side of the room. I was looking out of the window on that side of the room. I heard her put her stuff down and knew she was walking over to me. I could feel my eyes tearing up and I don't even know why. "Who was that?" She asked like I didn't even tell her. "It was my ex. He's an asshole." I said. "Well is there anything I need to be worried about then?" She asked. I shook my head still not looking at her. "No, it's fine." I said. "Okay? Well why didn't you tell me anything about him?" I sighed and looked at the ground. "Well I didn't know how to tell you that he was sort of a drunk." I said still not wanting to look at her. "What do you mean sort of?" She asked. "Well he would go out late at night and come home drunk." I told her. "He didn't hurt you did he?" She asked worriedly. "Oh no." I said. I felt a couple of tears fall down my face and they fell to the floor. She lifted my head head up gently with her hand making me look at her. "Why are you crying?" She asked sympathetically. "Because I feel like I hurt you for not telling you anything." I said. She smiled. "No. No. It's fine you didn't tell me. I get it, you have a past you wanna forget." I finally looked at her. She was smiling which made me smile. I started laughing at little. "What?" She asked. "I'm laughing at myself for crying and pretty much being a baby." I said wiping a tear off my face. She laughed a little. "Your not a baby your just sensitive." I looked down again. "I love you." She said. I smiled and rolled my eyes. "I love you too." I said and looked at her again. She smiled and kissed me. I kissed back. She pulled out of the kiss. "Let's go and just watch a movie." She said. "Well why'd you want to come over?" I asked. I knew why I just wanted to here her say it. "It doesn't matter. What matters is you right now. Let's just go do something that will keep your mind off of all of this." She said and turned to walk away. "That's sweet, but..." I grabbed her wrist and turned her back around, pulling her closer to me. "... I have a better idea." I said and kissed her passionately. She kissed me back.
