Betty's POV
"Cooper, what are you here doing here this early in the morning?"
"Mantle," I rolled my eyes. "I need your help." He smirked.
"What does little miss, perfect need from me?" He asked.
"A favour, Mantle." I said annoyed.
"Well, Cooper, I don't know how much I could help you with, but I could try." He said. I stood there looking up at him. "What?" I just stood there. "Oh, damnit! Fine come in." He said and let me in. I smiled.
"Thank you." I said and walked inside. We sat in the living room across from each other.
"So what is the this favour, Cooper?" He asked. I rolled my eyes.
"I have a name you know, Mantle." I told him.
"So do I." I sighed.
"Fine! If I call you Reggie will you call me by my first name?" I asked. He looked like he was thinking for a second. He shook his head.
"Not a chance, Cooper. But you can keep calling me Reggie though." I rolled my eyes.
"Don't flatter yourself. I have something I need help with, but I need to tell you something first, and I need you to keep your mouth shut." I said.
"Alright, blondie, what is it?" He asked. And I told him the whole story.
Veronica's POV
I was sitting in the dark room, struggling to get out of the ropes. I heard a low chuckle.
"You're still trying to free yourself? Wow! You just don't give up, do you?" He said. I couldn't see him anywhere.
"Who are you?!" I shout demandingly. He chuckled once again.
"Oh, do you not know? I'm an old, old friend." This got me thinking.
"An old friend?" I asked. "If you're an old friend how come I don't recognize you?" I asked. He chuckled again.
"Because, babygirl, you haven't seen my face." He said. I rolled my eyes. "Oh, don't roll your eyes. It really pisses me off."
"Just tell me who you are! And let me go! I promise I won't tell anyone about this!" I begged and almost whined.
"You wanna know who I am?" He said.
"Yes, I do." I said demandingly. He chuckled again.
Betty's POV
"No. No, I am not doing that!" I said standing up and started walking to the door. He grabbed my arm and forced a kiss on my cheek. "Mantle, stop it! I just needed help. Looks like you were the wrong person to go to." He chuckled.
"In order for me to keep my mouth shut, is for you to do this with me." He said. I rolled my eyes.
"Oh, please! Why would I do that?" I asked.
"Because, I wanna nail a teacher just like you. And the one you got is just the right one for me." He said.
"You are not getting with my girl. Now are you willing to keep your mouth shut and help me?" I asked. He sighed.
"Fine. I'll help you! What are we doing?" He asked.
"We need to, somehow, get rid of--" I was cut of by my phone which had started ring. I sighed and looked at it. It was my mom. I looked at Reggie. "Hold on it's my mom." He nodded and I answered it.
"Yes, mom what do you need?" I asked.
"Why are your friends at Veronica's?" She asked.
"I don't know. You tell me. What did you tell then to do? Look through her house or something?" I asked.
"No, Elizabeth, I did not. Now where are you?" She asked
"Nowhere. I'll have to call you later Bye!" I said.
"Elizabeth, don't you hang up on m--" I hung up on her. I looked up at Reggie.
"I gotta go. I'll talk with you about this later. Don't tell anybody, got it?" I asked demandingly. He nodded and I left.
On my way back to Veronica's I called Veronica's phone to see who would answer. It was Cheryl and everybody. I told them to meet me by Sweet Water River.
When I got there, I waited a little away from the River. Waiting for them. They found me and we started to walk to the river.
"So, Betty, why'd we have to meet here?" Cheryl asked annoyed. I rolled my eyes.
"Because this is Veronica's favourite spot. I know this is where shed go if she's scared or worried or overthinking things." I said really believing it because this is where she ALWAYS comes. But to our surprise that is not who we saw.
Another cliffhanger!
How are you lovin'me?
