Betty's POV

I woke up and immediately looked at my phone for any texts from Veroinca. There was still nothing. This was kind of suspicious because she always texts back immediately. I'm getting kind of worried about her. I sighed, putting my phone down and layed my head back down. "You okay?" I looked at the door and saw Toni. "Yea, I'm fine." I said. "You sure? 'Cause seem stressed." She said. I looked at her. "Is it noticable?" I asked. "Yes, it is? Is something wrong." I shook my head." "No, I'm good." I said climbing out of bed. "Now if you don't mind I'd like to get dressed." I said and she walked away.

At school

Once we all got to school we walked to the students lounge where Kevin was. I kept looking at my phone and tried to find a good moment to leave to go to Veronica's classroom. "Betty are you okay?" Cheryl asked. I looked at her. "Yeah, I'm great." I said. "Are you sure? You seem pretty distracted." I sighed annoyed. "Yes, I am. Anymore questions?" They all stayed quiet. "Great. Now if you'll excuse me I'm gonna go." Then the bell went. "No, I'm not."

Went we, Cheryl, Kevin and I, walked into class Veronica was there. She seemed to be distracted and thinking all the way till class started. I'm gonna talk to her after school.

After school

I was at my locker, about to go to the English classroom then Cheryl, Toni and Kevin came upto me, AGAIN! "Betty!" Cheryl said happily. "Yes?" I asked, shutting my locker. "Do you wanna got to Pop's with us?" Cheryl asked. "Uhh no I'm busy. I have homework I need to do." I lied. "Okay. Another time then." Toni said and they walked off.

I walked to the English classroom and she was still in there. When she saw me she barely smiled. "You need to something?" She asked. "To talk." I said. "About what?" "You. You never called or texted me back last night. Is something wrong?" She sighed. "Can we not talk about this here? It's not exactly a private setting." I nodded. "Yea, sure, but-" "Come to my place later. We can... talk then." She says. I sigh. "Okay." I said and walked out. I guess I'm going over later.

I was laying in bed, on my phone, and looked at the time. It's 7:37. I quickly got up and put my phone in my pocket. I went downstairs and found Cheryl and Toni standing at the door. "Are you two going somewhere?" I asked. "No, why?" Toni asked. "Because you guys are standing in front of the door." "Oh are you going somewhere?" Cheryl asked. "Uhh yes, can you guys please move?" I asked, they moved and I left.

Once I got to Veronica's I grabbed the key she gave me and walked inside. I opened the door and didn't see her. I shut the door and walked upstairs. I walked into her room. She was sitting at her desk with her back facing the door. "Veronica?" I said and she looked back at me and set something down. "Oh your here." She said standing up. "Yeah. Are you okay?" I asked. She sighed. "Yeah, why?" She asked. Well like I said earlier you never called or texted me back and I'm worried." She walked over to me. "I'm fine, don't worry about me. Everything is okay." She said, reassuringly and smiled. I smiled to. "Okay. What do you want to do now?" I asked. She smiled. "I don't know, what do you want to do?" She asked, biting her lower lip. I smiled. "You thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked, pulling her closer. She didn't say anything, she just kissed me.

I have no idea what time it is, but I woke up and it was still dark out. I looked over and realized Veronica wasn't next to me. I rubbed my eyes and sat up. I got up and walked downstairs and saw her standing at the island in the middle of the kitchen. "Veronica?" I said softly. She turned back and looked at me. "Hey are you Okay? What time is it?" I asked. "It's 12:30. She said. "I'm fine." She added. I sighed and walked over to her. Her hand was in a fist, like she was hiding something. "What is that?" I asked. "What's what?" She asked hiding her hand behind her back. I grabbed her arm gently, pulling her hand from behind her back. "It's nothing." She said trying to pull her hand away, but I stopped her. "Please. What are you hiding from me?" I asked, looking at her. She opened her hand and I saw a ring. "What is that?" I asked. "It's from my last relationship. That one guy. We were engaged." I nodded. "Yea, I know, but it feels like your still not telling me something." "Because I'm not. This is my engagement ring. I took it off not to long after I left, but he came here the other day--" "Wait he came here?" "Yes, he did and he told me since I never gave back the ring that we are still engaged. I said we weren't, but he still said we were. Now I'm left with this and not knowing how to give this back. I don't want sowmthing that'll just make him keep telling me shit that's a lie." She said and put it on the counter. "It's fine." I said. "Really?" She asked. I nodded and smiled. "Why would it be a bid deal?" She shrugged. "I don't know." "Okay, but why didn't you answer my calls?" "I turned my phone off. I'm gonna text him tomorrow to come over so I can give that back to him." I nodded. "Okay, for now let's just go sleep." I said. She smiled. "We can go back to sleep later." "What do you mean?" "What I mean is..." She grabbed me by the waist and pulled me closer. "We can go to sleep later." I smiled. "Yes, we can." I said and kissed her.

You know what y'all? When I'm writing and I always write 'you guys' or 'you all' it really sucks 'cause I'm always writing and saying 'y'all' so I always get tempted to put y'all and not you guys or you all.
