RAVEN CLAR was Dauntless through and through. She was Dauntless-born, Dauntless-raised. She was Dauntless to the bone, no question about it.
She'd been in the initiate class before the famed Four, ranking second out of her class. Choosing a job as a patrol within the city, Raven settled into her official Dauntless life as well as her adult life.
However, Raven's next door neighbor, Four, interested her. Though they were different for many reasons, the two clicked in an odd way.
Raven had never loved someone as she had loved Four. No one had loved her as he had.
However, sometimes people were too different. Dauntless-born and Dauntless-chosen were two entirely different things, and Four was neither of those.

→ they don't end up staying together! four, to the dauntless, is kinda weird, that's stated in his spin-off book. dauntless like to live together, but he lives alone, etc. raven eventually figures out why four's so different from her and why they would argue from entirely different sides when it should've been the same. raven doesn't tell anyone due to her love for four, but don't twist that around--she is entirely loyal to dauntless.
→ raven has three friends: bianca clar (her sister), sammy santos, and kane santos. bianca is played by elizabeth olsen, while sammy is played by shay mitchell and kane is by bob morley. they're all longtime friends and dauntless-born, their families have been dauntless since the beginning!
