TITLE → Furnace

OC'S NAME → Phoenix

LOVE INTEREST → None

TIMELINE → Post Captain America: The First Avenger

THE PHOENIX was Hydra's newest project. None name, no memory, no morality. The perfect unwavering weapon of mass destruction.

Along with Hydra's newest project, The Winter Soldier, the Phoenix was still in its third phase of testing. Even then, with their abilities just on the cusp of full potential, the Phoenix was the most promising weapon ever made.

They became a symbol to Hydra: their power. While The Winter Soldier would be their fist, they would be their brute strength. The Phoenix became their pride and joy, their beast in the night.

Everything was perfect. Perfect soldier, perfect weapon, perfect structure. All nailed down perfectly.

Except the Phoenix was the first of her kind. Unpredictable. Understudied. They wanted a fire, but they got a furnace.

FACE CLAIM → dove cameron as the phoenix

❝ You wanted a soldier, I gave you a soldier. You wanted a fire, I gave you a fire. But you wanted more, yet this is too much? This is your creation! This is what you made me! ❞

EXTRA.

→ She doesn't know what her life was before, or her name. It's been a few years since she was taken (though she doesn't know that), too much mind wiping for her to remember without reasoning. Though, if you want there to be, I wouldn't doubt there would be moments where she'd remember small things.

→ Her powers are fire. She was injected with a serum, which she described as "liquid fire." It changed her DNA, down to her humane biology. When her powers are active, her eyes glow orange, her skin tints orange and her veins are red. She was a test subject, the first one, and they didn't expect her to survive. That's why there's those side-effects to using her powers, because they would have perfected off of her. She can't manipulate active fire, but instead creates her own. Kinda like Johnny Storm, I guess.

→ Since she's the first of her kind, they didn't know what to expect. They merely expected fire, or predicted it to be only that. Except her powers are large-scale, too, enough to burn an entire warehouse in a matter of seconds. Like a supernova.

→ It's up to you whether or not she meets the Winter Soldier later on, but I originally I wrote it as so, and that's the reason she started to rebel. However, you can take your own route however you want.
