KIM CHANG knew she was not her mother's favorite. Her sister was a Ravenclaw, which her mother adored—and Zhen was a Gryffindor. First, it made her odd, because usually, siblings were in the same house, and she wasn't. Second, by her mother's standards, she was too reckless—because brave was a downfall in her mother's eyes.
So, the younger Chang was with her sister as much as she could be at Hogwarts with separate dorms and classes, but despite that, she still wasn't as "great" as Cho. Which, made her jealous at some points, but she eventually realized was better. She didn't want to be the center of multiple boy's eyes.
But one day, Harry Potter asked her for help, and she nearly burst into laughter. It seemed ridiculous, but she nonetheless accepted. It wasn't even because she wanted them to get together, she didn't care about that, she wanted something interesting to happen. She'd heard all about their trio's excursions full of wonderful adventures that no one else experienced. They formed their own trio: Operation Win Cho's Heart Trio.
