Ryan's POV.

It was getting late but we had a really good conversation with Mark. It was good to just talk and take off weight from my shoulder. Mark is the most important manager in my company. He is the biggest help for me. We always talk through every new business, cause he is an amazing economy specialist.
As we were talking about Mark's new cat (yes, my friend is a cat lover, and he was obsessed talking about his new black cat), my phone rang. I felt fear immediately as I have seen that Jake is calling.
"What happened Jake? Is Kate alright?"

"You need to get home Ryan. As soon as possible. She's not hurt but someone was in here. I really don't know how could an intruder get in. And they left a message again for Kate. She is in critical mental state."

"I leave immediately Jake. Try to calm her down. And take care of her while I arrive home."

I said my goodbyes to Mark and got in the Aston Martin. I didn't really cared about the speed limit, I was driving madly. I arrived home in 10 minutes. When I arrived, Jake's friend, Ethan was already there. He also works as a bodyguard and I can count on him too. It scared me even more that Jake needed backup.
I rushed into the apartment and asked Ethan what happened but he just told me to ask Jake who was next to Kate in the bedroom.
As I entered the room, everything looked the same as it was before, nothing was moved. Jake was sitting on the bed next to Kate who looked extremely scared. She didn't even look at me when I entered the room. She was sitting in the middle of the bed,she had her knees up and embraced by her hands and she rocked herself as she was silently crying. It was extremely scary seeing her like this. Jake was caressing her back and was whispering calming words to her. As he saw me coming in the room,he stood up and came towards me. I tried not to be too loud,I didn't want Kate to hear me.
"What happened? How could anyone get in? And what happened to Kate? She is scaring me."

"I don't know Ryan. I arrived when Matt was leaving. Then we had talked a bit with Kate and she went to bed and some minutes later she was screaming to me. Since than I can't talk to her. She doesn't respond to anything. I immediately called Ethan to help me scan the apartment but I couldn't leave Kate alone to help him and we really should scan over all the bedroom too but I just don't know what to do to help her Ryan. I think you should ask a doctor. She is really scaring me too. "

"Thanks Jake. Don't worry,I try to calm her and I call James after I can't succeed. Help Ethan to search through everything. After that, go downstairs and ask the security camera footages. I need to know who was here and when. "

As Jake left, I rushed to Kate. I quickly pulled her in my arms but she still didn't respond to me.
I realised that she is holding a black envelope in his hands. She didn't want to let it go
"Give it to me baby. Let me see it please. I am here love, I am here. You are safe. Please let me see it."

I could finally pull the envelope out of her hands and looked at its content. It contained pictures again. Pictures that made me sick. There were pictures of the night of Kate's accident. Pictures of her face covered with blood. But what was more hurtful,there were pictures of her parents. The pictures were clearly took by the police and the coroner's investigation. It showed the dead bodies of her parents. I can't imagine anyone doing something like this. There was a letter too:

'Hey baby. You seem to forget about your dearest mummy and daddy who you killed with your reckless driving. You are having fun in the countryside, having a dinner party with your friends, preparing to fly away. But guess you can't fly away from your sins. Don't forget that I am everywhere baby. Hope to be inside of you again too, sooner or later. Don't forget your tears at home. It turns me on when you cry.'

I could kill that asshole. Rip his throat out. He is out of his mind. He doesn't just threaten Kate but wants to rape her too. It's the hardest not to tear that letter into pieces but it's evidence. It doesn't have a name on it but we clearly know that it's from Brad. I won't leave Matt out from this. I need his help. He told me he could find an illegal trail. I don't care anymore. Find any way to put this fucking jerk into an asylum. I am ready to cover up anything illegal. Anything for Kate.
But before contacting Matt, I need to calm Kate down. And it's the hardest thing ever. She doesn't respond to any of my words and my caresses.
