I let the sadness deliquesce
Making quite an inky mess
It seeped into the carpet below
Staining there for as long as life goes
I tried and tried to clean it up
But it left a scar that was just too tough
So every time I walk past this spot
Memories surface that I wish I forgot
The crescent moon smile on my face turns new
And I walk away, gloomy and blue
