I remember the way summer danced on my tongue
Skipping from taste bud to taste bud
Weaving in between my teeth
As I waded in the heat
Let the lavender breeze curl around me
Play with my hair, turn it to a lion's mane
Pain is dormant in the cores of my bones
Not making a stir at all
Allowing me to be a puzzle piece
In one of Van Gogh's works
When the sun watches above,
I can let everything trapped in my mind
Burst out of me
I am a garden blooming all at once
Letting my petals leave through each breath I take
And when winter comes
To turn the sun into a glowing match
I feel the pain wake from hibernation
Blossoming the same way I did
But with dissonance instead of symphony.
