You leave, and the wall that surrounded us
Comes tumbling down, bricks turning to sand
And my hands are cold without yours
The world inside my mind is stripped
Of its atmosphere, and the sun
Is blown out like a candle
The wax pouring down as rain
But what's before the war is worth the pain
Because you hold me, and everything is okay
Caressed beneath you wing in our nest
And it is safe to sing, safe to fall asleep
The night sky wraps around the earth, glittering
Only when you are gone
Is when I weep.
