The girls who tremble,
Stumbling by hand in hand with
The boys who mumble
A whole different society,
Shy deities floating down school halls
That nobody can see but themselves and each other
Never noticed by the mortals
Their eyes are portals to new dimensions
Look inside and you'll see
Empty rooms, dark closets, red scars, yellow stars
But their lips can go weeks without speaking,
They are meek but strong
Their songs escape through words etched onto screens or
Fingers pressing them through keys,
Serenading audiences of demigods and all sorts of things
But most of them go invisible, even then
They are never seen.
