Everything is beginning to move
In retrograde,
A backwards-going, erratic train
An orbit turning round again
And it is making me insane,
The rain falls in drops of mercury and cyanide
So I cannot hide,
And every flower that once reached out to me
Is beginning to fade, turn from red to pink
To white in a cloak of chlorophyll,
I just wish everything was still again
Before I overdosed on words like pills
My own thoughts drilling holes into me
Positivity is becoming shy,
A microphone with dying batteries
And darkness flourishes in my veins
A greedy disease that won't leave.
The sun is going down,
Will it return?
Because lately I have been yearning
For some peace,
A way to release
But everything is pouring back into my mind
A video playing in reverse
Everything is getting worse.
