"Look, it's him again!" You exclaimed while tapping on your best friend's arm. She turned and rolled her eyes. "Goddamn," You said as he walked over to his friends.
"He's not even cute," She said, shaking her head. Now it was your turn to roll your eyes. "He could be a freshman, for all we know," She pointed out. You sighed and shook your head.
"There's no way in hell that a guy looks like that is 13," You said. She shook her head, steering you away to your usual spot at the front of the school. Your mom picks you up after your younger siblings and y/bff's bus comes later, so it always works out.
"Then talk to him, stupid," She said, pulling her phone out to check the time. You shook your head, sneaking another glance at him, accidentally making eye contact. You turned back around, heart racing. "And you have a boyfriend anyway, whatchu doing?" She asked. You sighed.
"Doesn't mean I can't stare at other cuties," You said, bearing a fake smile. She rolled her eyes.
"If you don't like him," She started. You sighed, looking back at your new eye candy. "Then break up with him." You shook your head. If only it were that easy.
"We need a nickname for him," You said, thinking. This kid, who you'd never seen before this year, just happened to be the most attractive guy in the whole school. Only problem was, you didn't know if he was a freshman (though he couldn't be) or his name, or anything. Which means you couldn't stalk him on instagram or anything.
"Dangly earring kid," She said after a few minutes. You raised our eyebrows, turning to look back at him. He indeed did have a dangly earring. "How did you not notice his earring?" She asked you, shaking her head.
"I was too busy looking at his face," You said with a smile. She shook her head and pointed at someone else. You followed her gaze.
"That one's cute," She said. You raised your eyebrows as she pointed to someone exactly like dangly earring. You rolled your eyes. "What, look at his hair, bro," She said with a grin.
"They look like twins," You pointed as they walked to the bus stop together. She shook her head and you nodded. "Whatever, my dangly earring's cute," You said, staring at him as he waited at the bus stop across from your school.
"You're insane," She said, shaking her head. You laughed and turned to her.
But not before you locked eyes with him and he smiled at you.

You looked out the window from your booth and sighed. It was raining. You'd walked from your school to the coffee shop in the rain. You sipped your coffee and frowned as you opened your science textbook, studying for the test you had after lunch.
You'd skipped drama to study for your test, only to have to walk in the rain and get distracted by the smell of coffee in your booth. You sighed as you pulled out your phone to check the time as you felt someone slide into the seat in front of you. You looked up, almost dropping your phone.
"Anyone sitting here?" He asked. You shook your head, pulling one earbud out. You smiled at him, trying to find the time to text y/bff. "You don't seem like the type to skip," He said. You shrugged.
"I had drama," You told him and pointed to your textbook. "And I was just gonna study," You said. He raised his eyebrows.
"I'll stop bothering you if you want," He said, ready to get up. You shook your head and smiled, and he got comfortable again. "It's y/n, right?" He asked. You nodded, a little confused.
