Chapter 14

(With Hope And Landon after lunch)

"Landon, I'm not going out with you," Hope told him while they were walking to their next class.

"Why? I know that I hurt you," Landon states.

"Yeah, you did. Landon you didn't just break up with me. You broke me Landon, I couldn't get out of bed for a week. I would've stayed in there forever if it wasn't for Lizzie," Hope stated. It was true Lizzie was the reason she was able to go on with her life. Landon helped her get over Lizzie but right when he broke up with her she fell for her again. Lizzie cared about her well more than Landon did at least.

"We were so happy, we can be happy again."

"No, Landon we can't." She stated

"Why not?"

"Because we just can't!" Hope raised her voice, "You broke me heart and my trust and once someone breaks that, there's no coming back."

"I won't leave you alone until you tell me why, the actual reason," Landon said.

"Because I'm in love with someone!" She didn't mean to tell him.

"Who? Tell me who and I will leave you alone," he states.

"I'm sorry but I can't tell you that," She stated. She couldn't tell Landon that she is secretly dating Lizzie behind his brother's back. Now that she thought about it. It sounds really bad on her part.

"Hope, you at least owe me to tell me who." She felt that he was right or maybe she just needed to tell someone even if it was her ex-boyfriend.

"Fine, you can't tell anyone, it's Lizzie," she said.

"Wait, Lizzie Saltzman?" He asked with an evil smirk on his face.

"Yes, that Lizzie," She felt guilty.

"Now will you go on a date with me?" He asked.

"No! I just told you that I'm dating someone."

"Yes, someone who has a boyfriend."

"I know that, but I'm not going on a date with you!" After Hope said this Landon grabbed her wrist.

"Go on a date with me or else."

"Or else what?"

"I will tell everyone about your little affair with Lizzie..."

"Are you blackmailing me?" She asked getting up in his face.

"No, I'm giving you a choice."

"It sounds like blackmail to me."

"Go on a date with me and I won't tell our whole school about your little lesbian experiment." He let go of her wrist and walked away.

"It's not an experiment!" She yelled he turned around and smirked

"You're just trying to replace me and guess what Hope it's not working."

"Screw you, Landon,"

"You wish."

After her encounter with Landon she went to her car to think.

Hope was debating whether or not she should go on that date with Landon. Was he really going to tell everyone? Even if he did would people actually believe him?

Hope jumped at the feeling of someone touching her shoulder.

"God, Lizzie you scared me!" Hope exclaimed at her. "Where's Josie?"

"No hi babe, I missed you? No? Okay, anyway Josie is doing an assignment for her first period you don't have to give her a ride home," Lizzie states.

"Okay, so it's just us two then?" Hope asked.

"I guess so," Lizzie bites her lip and moves closer. She pulls Hope closer to her, their lips centimeters apart.

"Landon knows," Hope stops Lizzie but pulling away.

"What?" She asked.

"He knows about us and he's blackmailing me." Lizzie was shocked. Landon knew about them.

"He's blackmailing you! Into doing what!?" Lizzie was pissed.

"He said that I have to go on a date with him or else he will tell everyone." She stated.

"No..." Lizzie said.

"No?" Hope was confused.

"No, you're not going out with him," she stated, "I won't allow it."

"Lizzie, he will ruin your reputation and your dad will find out you're-"

"I don't care Hope! I love you and I don't think that I can stand seeing you with someone else!"
