"Josie, you're back," Lizzie says as she sees her sister walk past her room.
"Yeah, so umm how was your date with Hope?" Josie asked walking in and sitting down next to her sister on the bed.
"It started a bit off track because fucking Landon sent us a text threatening to out me to dad, but don't worry it's handled and now he won't be bothering us anymore," Lizzie states.
"Lizzie what did you do?" Josie asked thinking her sister was up to something.
"Nothing, I just sent him a few text and politely asked him not to mess with me or Hope ever again."
"Politely?" Lizzie just rolled her eyes at her sister.
"Anyway, we went mini golfing and it was a lot of fun. How was your date with Satan incarnate?"
"Great and will you please stop calling my girlfriend satan incarnate,"
"GIRLFRIEND?!?" Lizzie practically yelled out, "Satan I mean Penelope is your girlfriend?!"
"Yeah," Josie smiled, "as of tonight and I know that you don't like her but you will be seeing a lot more of her."
"I'm happy for you Jo, but are you sure you want her to be you girlfriend? I mean sure she's like extremely hot but like are you sure?"
"Should I be worried because it seems like you like my girlfriend." Josie asked playfully earning a light punch from her sister.
"I don't like her but I can't deny that she's hot because she is and besides Hope is the best person in this entire universe," Lizzie states.
"I mean I even had a crush on her," Josie stated.
"Wait! You like Hope!?" Lizzie yelled with wide eyes.
"No, I liked Hope," She corrected.
"Why didn't you tell me?"
"We were like 13, I didn't know that's what it was also I scared to tell you," Josie admits.
"Why would you be scared? I'm your sister I will love you no matter what," She states.
"Speaking of unconditional love, what are we going to tell dad?"
"I don't know yet but I want to come out to him this week and I want him to know that I'm dating Hope," Lizzie states replying to her sisters question.
"I want to do it soon too. I don't want to keep anything from him," She states.
"Neither do I and I talked to him tonight when I got home from my date and he promised me that he was going to try to change, I hope that means he will stop drinking but he has promised this before."
"Yeah, it seems like he's been getting worse over the passed year."
"I agree. But I believe that he will this time. I just have a good feeling about it." Lizzie couldn't tell if this is what she hopes or what she feels about this. She did miss her father, the way he used to be at least. She thought that he would stop drinking after what happened to her mom. Instead he drank more to drown out the pain. Sure she did things to make it hurt less but she never turned to those things.
She was brought out of her thought by Josie's phone receiving a text, "It's Penelope," Josie said.
"Well respond to her," Lizzie says.

"What did she say?" Lizzie asked as Josie put down her phone.
"She's going to pick me up tomorrow morning," Josie stated.
"That's awesome! Do you think she's going to ask you to Homecoming?" Lizzie asked.
"I don't think so," Josie stated not wanting to give out information about what is actually happening.
"Hmm, Well then you should ask her."
