When the bell rang Josie still had no idea what she was going to do for her paper. "So do you have any ideas?" Penelope asked.

"I can't really think of anything. You?"

"I was thinking something about isolation. Like what it does to people. How it affects the brain to be alone."

"Wow... How did you come up with that?"

"I don't know, I just thought that isolation would be an interesting topic to look at."

"Hey, so what did I miss?" Lizzie asked tapping Josie's arm coming in during the last 3 minutes of class.

"A research project. I'll explain at lunch, okay?"

"Okay,"

"So what were you doing?"

Her face flushed recalling the events. "I was with Hope."

"I wonder what you two were doing."

"Studying, isn't that right Lizzie?" Hope comes up behind them.

"Y-Yeah studying, that's all for the math test."

"Lizzie we have math together. There's no test."

"N-not for our class."

"If you say so." Josie said walking to the next class.

It was soon lunch and Josie walked to Penelope's class because it was on the way to the cafeteria. "Josie, hi," She said putting something behind her back.

"Hi, umm what's that?"

"N-Nothing," Penelope said quickly. Josie knew something was up but decided to let it go.

"Okay, so are we going to get some lunch?"

"Umm, no, I have to do something today... I'm sorry," she said giving Josie a kiss before walking off.

"Okay, are you still picking me up tonight?" Josie asked but she didn't hear. "Text you later then." Josie walked into the cafeteria and sits next to Mg who is currently sitting across from Hope who has Lizzie on her lap even though Lizzie is taller.

"You okay jo?" Mg asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah..."

"Where's Penelope?"

"Oh she had something to do today. I think it's family related." She thought her dad contacted her but she couldn't tell anyone that so family related was the closest she could get.

"Maybe she's going to ask you to Homecoming," Lizzie said.

"I don't think so... besides if she was going to ask me she would've done it by now," Josie stated.

"You never know," Mg says, "She might be planning something huge."

"Maybe," Josie sighed.

"Well if she doesn't ask you, break up with her, easy" Lizzie says.

"Lizzie!" Hope yells at her girlfriend.

"What?" Lizzie asks like she didn't known why Hope yelled at her.

"I'm not going to break up with Penelope, I couldn't. I love her."

"You love her?" Mg asks.

"Y-Yeah," Josie blushes realizing she forgot to tell Mg.

"Well have you told her yet?" He asked.

"No, but I'm planning on it."

Josie drove home with Lizzie and Hope when school ended. She realized that she was running out of time to ask Penelope to Homecoming so she decided she was going to do it tonight because if Penelope was going to do it, She would've done it by now.

She spent the next two hours talking to her sister and Hope about their Homecoming campaign.

A bit later there was a knock on the door and Lizzie decided to get it.

"Penelope, are you here to pick up Josie?" Lizzie asked the girl.

"Yes."

"You can come in while I get her." She turns around and walks to Josie's room. "Josie, your girlfriends here."

"Okay, I'll be right out." A few minutes later she walks out to be greeted by her beautiful girlfriend.

"Hey," she smiles.

"Hey.. are you ready to go?" Penelope asked breathless.

"Yeah... I'll see you later Lizzie," she waved to her sister before she left.

When they arrived at the lake. Penelope gave Josie a blindfold.

"Put this on."

"Okay? But may I ask why?"

"I don't want to you see where we're going..."

"Penelope we are at the lake there's not that many spots that we can go. Wait! Are you going to murder me?" Josie asked in a joking matter.

"No. I don't know what I'd do with out you..."

"Oh my god you're going to propose?" She asked again in a joking matter.

"No... not yet," she said the last part very quietly. She started to lead Josie through the forest part of the lake until she was at the spot. She removed the blindfold very carefully. The brunette saw a picnic set up. There was lights hung up on trees and bushes around the area. "Wow Penelope, it's beautiful... did you set this up today?"

"Yeah... that's why I wasn't at lunch."

"I can't believe you set this all up for me."

"And I was worried you weren't going to like it."

"I like everything you do."

"I like everything you do too," Penelope said as Josie turned around to face her. Josie gave her girlfriend a kiss which quickly became heated. Penelope soon had Josie pinned up against a tree near the area. She moved her lips down to Josie's neck causing a quiet moan from her. They would've continued if it wasn't for a raccoon that Josie spotted getting into the food. "Raccoon!" She alerted her.

"What?" Penelope immediately ran over and scared it away. Josie noticed a piece of paper on the ground next to some of the food that was dropped. "What's this?"
She decided to pick it up. It read 'will you be my date to homecoming?'

"Yes!"

"Yes?" Penelope questioned.

"I'll be your date!"
