Chapter 21

Lizzie went to her room and to her surprise Hope was sitting in there. "Hope? What are you doing in here?"

"I want to talk to you," She said in reply.

"Okay?" Lizzie was scared for some reason. She felt like Hope was going to break up with her. Is that even what you can call it? She didn't want her too, she knew that she would choose someone over her.

"I want to tell Josie," Hope said to her. Lizzie let out the breath that she didn't even know that she was holding.

"Thank god," this earned a confused look from Hope, "I thought that you were going to break up with me."

"What? Why would you think that? I literally told you that I loved you this morning," Hope said. She would never break up with her, she was so extremely happy to have her in her life in this way.

"I just feel like you deserve someone better than me and I thought that you realized that too," She admitted to her. Hope immediately pulled her into a hug, "If anything I don't deserve you, Lizzie, and I would never break up with you, ever."' Lizzie pulled out and looked her in the eyes.

"And I would never break up with you..." Lizzie said, "You help me, stay sane, I mean... before we became friends I needed help, like serious help and you helped me through everything without knowing it. I don't think I would be here without you in my life."

"Lizzie..." Hope didn't know that was how she felt. She didn't know how much she impacted Lizzie's life.  Lizzie eyes started to tear up.

"I was in a really bad place and you and Josie helped pull me out of it. When my mom died you were there for me. You always have been, ever since the first day I met you... You were there for me." Hope was always there for her, that was one of the many things that she loved about her, "You mean the world to me, Hope."

The only thing Hope could think of to help Lizzie was to pull her back into a tight embrace and just hold her. "I love you so so so so much Elizabeth Saltzman. I've been in love with you for years and I don't believe a love like this could ever go away. You are my one epic love story."

"So, I still think we should tell Josie," Hope says to Lizzie who she is currently laying on top of.

"And I agree with you, but not tonight, I want to tell her somewhere else," Lizzie said.

"Alright but soon," Hope says grabbing Lizzie's hand. "Like before Homecoming."

"Okay," Lizzie replied kissing Hope on the head. She wanted Josie to find out with other people. She knew that Josie had trouble lying to people. So if she told Josie and someone questioned her about it, people would find out.

Hope on the other hand wanted to tell Josie as soon as possible. It was really hard for her to keep this from her best friend. She was having trouble keeping it even though it had only been a few days.

"I should probably go home," Hope stated.

"No, why?" Lizzie whined pulling Hope back down into a tight embrace.

"I told my mom I would be home at 10 that was 20 minutes ago," she stated trying to get out of the hold that Lizzie had her in but eventually just gave up.

"Tell her you're running late," Lizzie pouted trying to convince her to stay.

It's not that Hope didn't want to stay. She definitely wanted to stay. She loves Lizzie but she doesn't want her parents to worry.

"Lizzie, I don't want them to worry about me," she states pulling Lizzie a little closer forgetting that she is trying to leave.

"I know.... but I love you and I want you to stay," Lizzie pressed her lips against Hopes.

"I love you too," She waits a second, "but I have to go," causing Lizzie to groan.

"Fine, but drive me to school tomorrow?" Lizzie requested.

"Yes of course," she said before kissing her again, "I love you and I will see you tomorrow."

"Fine... I love you too."

I hopped out of the shower and headed to Lizzie's room to talk to her. I walked passed her door and opened it slightly to see her kissing Hope. No! Penelope was right about this!?

I quietly run back to my room and call Penelope.
