(Lizzie and Hope)
"He's not going to blackmail us anymore," Lizzie states grabbing Hope's hand, "I promise."
"How do you know that Lizzie?"
"Because I'm going to come out to my dad," Lizzie tells her looking into her eyes.
"Lizzie...you don't have to do that, what if he kicks you out?" Hope says. She was worried, she didn't want Lizzie to be harmed in anyway. Especially because of her.
"He won't and if he does I'm 17, I was planning on leaving after I finish senior year. I'll figure something out," She pauses, "Let's not focus on this right now, okay?"
"Yeah, I'll go get the clubs," Hope says. She didn't want this. She didn't want Lizzie to be forced to come out to her dad because of her crazy ex. It's not fair. But Lizzie didn't feel like she was forced she actually wanted to. I mean she couldn't keep her relationship with Hope a secret for much longer. This was a good thing or at least she thought it was.
Hope returned with the clubs. They played for about an hour until they finished all the holes. When the time hit 5:50 Hope wanted to go to that date to protect Lizzie.
"Lizzie I should go," Hope stated.
"No, you shouldn't, we can't allow him to control us," She said.
"But if I don't, he's just going to find another way to make me so why shouldn't I?"She says to her girlfriend.
"Please, he can do whatever the hell he wants because it can't be worse then losing you!"
"Lizzie..."
"I can't lose you Hope, especially not to-to him. So please don't go."
"Okay, I won't go. But you will never lose me, I love you Lizzie and trust me nothing is ever going to change that."
"I don't believe you! One day you're going to wake up and realize that you can do so much better because Hope you can do so much better than me. And-" Hope cuts her off by kissing her.
"Lizzie, look at me," she turned Lizzie's head, "I don't think that it's possible to find someone better than you and I am going to tell you that everyday until you believe me," Lizzie kisses her back.
"I don't believe you I might have to hear it again." Hope laughs and so does Lizzie.
"I love you, Elizabeth Saltzman, I love you so much. And you are the most amazing person in the world."
"I love you too, Hope Andrea Mikealson..."
...
Two more hours have passed and Hope drove Lizzie home around 8. "Goodnight Lizzie, I love you," Hope said as Lizzie exited the car.
"I love you too, Hope," Lizzie said as waved her girlfriend goodbye. She went into her house to see her father sitting on the couch watching some sort of sports network.
"Where have you been?" He asked looking away from the Tv and at his daughter.
"I was out with Hope we went mini golfing," she states.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked getting mad.
"I texted you," Lizzie said looking down.
"Oh... Wait where's Josie?!" He asked/yelled.
"I don't know, she said she was going out with a friend," Lizzie stated, "Maybe she texted you."
Alaric pulls out his phone again and goes to Josie's contact. "Yeah she did, she's going to be home around 10."
"That's a little late," Lizzie thought to herself.
"Thank you for texting me," He said pulling his daughter into a hug.
"Yeah," She could smell the alcohol radiating off of him. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I'm fine I was just thinking about your mom again."
"I miss her too," she states, "but maybe it's time to move on."
"It's not that easy," he states.
"Isn't it?"
"Your mom was the love of my life and whenever I think about dating someone else I feel like I'm betraying her."
"Dad it's been 5 years," Lizzie says, "I know that you miss her but she would want you to be happy she'd want you to live and what you're doing now, this," she gestures to the couch and the beers, "this isn't living. Josie and I are worried for you we want you to be healthy again to be the dad we had 5 years ago. The one who would take us places, tell dad jokes, and listen to us."
"I want that too, Lizzie. But, I'm not that guy anymore. I love you and your sister more than anything in this world and I have tried to change but I can't. I want to but I can't."
"Dad, please just one more time, for me, for Josie, no do it for mom."
"Okay,"
"Promise?"
"I promise."
