Chapter 23

"So, I'm going to have to run but I'll talk to you guys later," I said sending a text to Penelope telling her to meet me in the library.

"See you at lunch," Hope yells at me. I gave her a thumbs up and continued to walk to the library. When I got there I sat at a random table in the middle so that Penelope could find me easily.

I waited about a minute before I saw her walk in. She walked over to my table and sat down. "Hey, so what happened? With Hope and Lizzie I mean."

"Umm.. Like I told you I caught them kissing but they didn't see me and this morning Hope drove us to school," I stated moving closer to her.

"Hmm... do you think Raf knows?" She asked.

"No, I don't think so," I continued, "Lizzie said that she doesn't know how she feels about him anymore. I wish I knew why they haven't told me yet. Do they not trust me?"

"I think that they just don't know how you're going to react. I think that they both love you and don't want to lose you over this," She states.

"I just wish that they would tell me. I don't care if they're dating or not. I don't care if they spend more time with each other. I don't care because I-I have you now," I stated without thinking.

"Is that so?" She asked with a smirk on her face. I was sure that I was blushing so hard.

"Is it not?" I asked sheepishly.

"You're so cute," She moved closer and connected our lips for a few seconds. "You have me as long as you want me." How about forever?

(With Hope And Lizzie)

"So, I'm going to have to run but  I'll talk to you guys later," Josie said

"See you at lunch," Hope yells at her, Josie gave her a thumbs up and continued to walk. Hope and Lizzie get behind the car making sure no one can see them.

"I need to talk to Landon," Hope said to Lizzie.

"Why?" Lizzie groaned

"Because I'm going to have to tell him that I'm going on that stupid date with him," Hope states.

"Can't you just text him?" Lizzie put her hands on Hopes waist.

"I mean, I could but I want to talk to him in person. Also you're cute when you're jealous." She pulled her closer connecting there lips.

"I'm sorry if I get jealous it's just that I don't want you to be with other people," Lizzie states

"Oh you're one to talk," Hope says in a sarcastic voice.

"I know. I promise things with Raf and I will end within this next month," Lizzie states with her arms around Hope.

"And I believe you, it's just that I want you to be mine... completely," Hope stated, "I want to show you off to people I want to say that Lizzie Saltzman is my girlfriend."

"I want to say that too..." She then had an idea, "Why don't we run from Homecoming queens?"

"What?" Hope was confused, "How?"

"Simple, one of us runs for king and then one of us runs for queen. How awesome would that be?"

"You do realize this means that you have to break up with Raf, right?" Hope wasn't sure if this was going to work.

"Yes, I know," Lizzie didn't want to hurt him as she expressed many times but it would just hurt him even more if she didn't tell him, "but, I will have you."

Hope leaned in and kissed her, "I love you Lizzie. I really do."

"And I love you too Hope. Would you go to homecoming with me?"

"Yes, I would love to," she said kissing her again.  The first bell rang interrupting the moment.

(With Penelope and Josie)

"As long as you want me," Penelope said looking me in the eyes.

"Do you want to go to Home-" the bell cut me off. I want to go with her but the stupid bell cut me off. We both got up and started walking to class. We arrived and class. Lizzie was smiling at me as Penelope and I walked to our seats.

"I wonder why she's so happy?" Penelope whispered in my ear sending shivers down my spine.

"I-I don't know," I stutter out making her smirk.

"Okay class, I hope you did your homework last night. I don't care if you did or not but I it will lower your grade if you don't finish this project. It will count as 20 percent of your grade for this whole year. Anyway so today you are basically doing the same thing as yesterday and getting to know your partner. Alright?" Nobody said anything, "Alright?" He raises his voice.

"Alright," everyone responded.

The class period went by fast and I learned some more stuff about Penelope like her favorite animal is a wolf which is not very surprising. I just wish that she heard my question. I mean we're already going on a date tonight.
