Chapter 21 Welcome Home

Peeta POV

"So, what would you like to name the babies?" the doctor asks as Katniss and I sit in the office. The babies are all sleeping while we get everything paper wise done.

"The girl...Jasbay." Katniss says. I look to her and smile as she holds my hand tightly.

"Okay." he says writing it down. "And the boys?"

"I was thinking and I like Jace for the first one." I say.

"Jace?" he says writting that down. "Now the youngest." I look to Katniss who's thinking.

"Umm...I'm not sure." I say looking down.

"I like..Bryant." she says.

"Bryant? Where did that come from?" I ask.

"Just thought of it." she says. I shrug as the doctor writes it down.

"Alright, thats mostly it." he says. "You can go home now." we nod and stand up, leaving the room to be greeted by a nurse.

"Mr. and Mrs. Mellark? Follow me please." she says. We follow her down the hallway and to the room where are babies are. We walk in and over to them. Little Jace, Jasbay and Bryant all sound asleep. I smile and pick up my little daughter, she having my ashy blonde hair. I keep her tightly in my arms as I reach down and pick up Jace while Katniss takes Bryant. We leave the room and walk down the hallway to the front desk to see Rye, Annie, and Finnick.

"Hey! Look at them!" Finnick says walking over to us and looking at Jas first. "A little girl."

"Her name's Jasbay." I say handing her to him. Annie also gave birth to a girl 2 months ago. They named her Hope.

"Beautiful. And two boys?" he says holding little Jas tightly. Finnick is a great father and uncle, thats the reason we like him so much. He's just really great with kids.

"Yep, and this is Jace and the youngest Bryant." Katniss says.

They're amazing Katniss." Annie says.

"Thank you. Rye, are you okay?" she says kneeling down to see him.

"I'm okay mom, just a few scratches and bruises." he says. "But I have a sister!? I always wanted one." he smiles.

"Yes, here." I take her from Finnick and carefully hand her to him.

"She has mom's eyes." he says making me smile.

"She really does." I say. He nods and plays with her short, soft hair. We all walk out the hospital and over to Finnick's car. "You got the seats?"

"Yes, we did." he says opening the door and sitting Hope in. "All aboard!" I smile and hand him Jasbay. As soon as they're strapped in we all make out way home. We get out and Annie and Finnick says they're goodbyes before leaving. We walk in and set the little babies down where Rye watches them so we can sit down for just a few seconds.

"Peeta...they're here." Katniss says. "They're home."

"I know Kitty. Its amazing, you did such a good job." I say wrapping my arm around her. 

"Thank you Peeta, thanks for being there for me." she says.

"I'm your husband. I'll always be there for you." I say kissing her cheek.. She smiles as Rye walks in.

"They all fell asleep." he says. I nod and stand up, walking over to them to see them all sound asleep. I smile and pick Jas and Jace up, carrying them to they're new room and laying them down. Rye walks in with Bryant. I take him and put him in his crib.

"Thanks little man." I say ruffling his hair. I walk back to Katniss and sit down. "Everything can only get better from here."

"I know. I love you Peeta." she says scooting closer to me.

"I love you too Kitty." I say pulling her close and giving her a kiss. I thought at that moment that everything would be okay and for a very long time...it was..but it would change.
