Chapter 6 Romantic Dinner

Katniss POV

"Katniss? Wake up baby." I open my eyes to see Peeta smiling down at me.

"Hey cupcake." I say making him smile even more. "Sleep well?"

"When your with me? Always." he says leaning down to plant a soft kiss on my lips. "I made you breakfast baby, Rye's at your mother's."

"Okay..thats good." I say sitting up. I sniff the air..to smell...pancakes and cheesbuns! "Is that what I think it is?"

"Yes dear, it is." he says picking me up out of bed. 

"Peeta!" I laugh.

"I'm carrying my beautiful girl to her breakfast." he says walking down the hallway to the stairs. We get down and he sets me down at the table. "You wait here. I'm serving you."

"Peeta, you know I don't like that." I say but he shakes his head.

"No. Stay!" he says. I sigh and nod, letting him get me a plate and serve me food. 

"Thank you cupcake." I say as he sits down.

"So today is our day baby." he says.

"Really? What we gonna do?" I ask smiling.

"Well, first breakfast, than we'll head out to the woods, tonight we have a nice dinner and some sweet desert." he says.

"Alright, sounds like alot of fun." I say making him smile. "When can we start?"

"Soon baby..soon." he says. We finish breakfast and I wash the dishes to be nice than I head out to the living room. "Kitty..come here." I stop and soon feel him press up against me from behind. "Get dressed angel. We're going out." I nod and walk upstairs to the bed room. I walk to the closet and pull out some jeans, an orange long sleeve shirt and some orange socks. I get dressed and walk back downstairs to see Peeta standing at the door.

"Your up on your toes, aren't you?" I say walking over to him. 

"Of course baby." he says helping me with my jacket. We head out the door and down the sidewalk. The cold air brushes against my face. "You cold?"

"Peeta, I grew up in the cold. I like it better." I say.

"Alright but still." he says.

"I'm really okay cupcake, trust me." I say. He nods and we have small talk till we get to the woods. "Where are you taking me?"

"A special place." he says as we enter the woods, stepping through the trees. Soon we make it to a tree that looks familiar but than I see it. Our old tree house.

"Peeta?! Really?" I ask.

"Yes baby, I fixed it up to bring you and Rye out here." he says. I give him a tight hug before kissing him lightly.

"Thank you Peeta." I say making him smile.

"Anything for you Katiss." he says. We climb up and lay down together, me resting my head on his chest. "Kat? Can I ask you something?"

"Sure." I say.

"How did you feel the first time we kissed?" he asks.

"Why?" I ask looking up to him.

"Well....just wanna know." he says.

"Fireworks, sparks, everything. I felt like the luckiest girl in the whole world." I say making him smile.

"Really? I'm glad." he says. "And you've given me the best life I could ask for." 

"You too cupcake." I say. He smiles again as I lay my head back down.

~Back at Home~

"Kitty? Come on, its dinner time." he says leading me to the kitchen. We got home just a while ago and he went straight to cooking. As we walk in I see two plates with amazing looking food, two glasses of wine and candles.

"Wow..Peeta this is amazing." I say.

"I can be amazing too. And romantic." he says. We sit down and start to eat. "How was your day so far?"

"I loved it Peeta. I love you more." I say. He smiles and we finish our food and end up drinking way too much wine.

"Kaaanntiiiiss." he says pulling me up the stairs. "Cooooommmee...on."

"I'm......I'm..coming Peeeeeeettttttaaaaaaaaaaaaaa......" I say making him laugh. We make it too the bedroom somehow and into bed. And...you all know what happened.
