Chapter 9 5 Months Later

Peeta POV

So the morning sickness is over but not the mood swings and the drama breaks outs and the pickiness and the strange hunger for something no human would ever eat. Thats all still there. Even thought she's driving me up the wall I know it will end soon so I won't complain. I just woke up so in the hopes of getting some peace I quietly climb out of bed and sneak out of the room and downstairs. Its only 5am so I just sit down and turn TV on. After a good hour Rye comes walking down the steps.

"Morning dad." he says sitting down next to me.

"Hey, sleep well?" I ask.

"Yeah but its still a school day." he says looking down. "I'm not feeling well."

"Rye we've talked about this. You can't just stay home cause school isn't fun." I say. "Now go get ready." he groans and walks to the bathroom just as I hear footsteps on the stairs. Oh no. She comes down the steps and sits down next to me.

"Morning." she says.

"Hey, sleep well?" I ask.

"Okay, you know? Same kinda stuff like always." she says.

"You want something?" I ask. She looks down and thinks.

"Maybe some...cheese buns?" she asks smiling.

"Hmm..sure." I say standing up and walking to the kitchen. I make a quick extra cheesy batch and return to her.

"That was fast." she says as I sit down.

"I make them so often I can just do it fast."  I say. She eats all slowly, even leaving me two. "Thanks angel.

"I'm just so mean to you and Rye. I don't wanna be though." she says.

"Its alright Kitty." I say.

"No...no its not. I wanna do something good for you and Rye." she says.

"Katniss, your 5 months pregnant. You don't have to do anything for us." I say. "Trust me, its fine."

"But.."

"But nothing. Now lets just relax together." I say wrapping my arm around her.

"Alright." she sighs as Rye walks in. 

"I gotta go now." he says walking over to me. "Be home soon."

"You have fun okay?" I say kissing his cheek. 

"I will. Bye mommy." he says giving her a kiss.

"Bye Rye, I love you so much." she says. He smiles and heads out the door.

"He wanted to stay home this morning." I say.

"Why?" she asks.

"I don't know. He may be having some trouble or something. I'll talk to him." I say.

"Well....what could we do today?" she asks.

"Anything you want." I say.

"Can we...go out? Maybe for a walk or something?" she asks.

"Sure, why not. But first I gotta take a shower." I say standing up. She nods and I head up to my room, grabbing fresh clothes and heading to the bathroom. I take a quick shower before walking back down to see a dressed Katniss. "So fast?"

"Yep, I wanna get out." she says. I nod and we head out the door. She takes my hand and we walk down the quiet street. "We never thought any names yet."

"Thats true." I say. "You think of anything?"

"I did. You know that one song I used to sing to Rye? Under the Willow?" she says.

"Yes. And?" I ask.

"Willow?" she says. I think for abit and nod.

"Thats a great name." I say making her smile. "I love it."

"Thats good." she says. We walk for a while before coming to the small park. "Thank you Peeta."

"For your life? Your welcome. I should thank you." I say.

"Why?" she asks.

"Because you gave me everything." I say. "Your my everything."

"Cupcake..your being cheesy." she says. I smile and lean in for a kiss but soon she pulls away, clenching her stomach. "Ahhh...Peeta...it hurts!"

"Wha...okay.alright relax." I say. "Lets go to the doctor."

"I can't walk." she says. I lifft her up and start down the road as I feel something wet on my hands. I set her down and look to see....blood.
