Chapter 51 What?!?!?

Katniss POV

"Choose. Now!" he yells. Tears fall down my cheeks as I look into the eyes of the people I love and need.

"Kill me." I whisper.

"Katniss no!" Peeta cries.

"Take me....let them leave but kill me." I say looking down. He chuckles and kneels down before me.

"Your a brave one." he says stroking my cheek. "Die to let your family live."

"Do it." I mutter looking up." he smiles and looks to them.

"Okay, I'll think about it. Until then, no moving now." he says patting my head before leaving.

"What are you doing?!" Peeta says.

"You need to get out of here with Rye and Emily. Its me he wants." I say looking down.

"No! No Katniss look at me!" he snaps. I sigh and look up to meet his eyes. "Your not doing this."

"I am, I'm not letting you die." I say. He shakes his head just as the window rattles. It makes us all jump and we look up to see a shadow there. The window opens and somebody climbs in.

"Ohh..good I was worried." he steps into the light and its Finnick?!

"What the hell are you doing here?!" I ask worried.

"Tip from somebody, now lets get you all out of here." he says pulling out a knife and cutting the lines. As soon as he gets us lose I hug him as tight as I can.

"Thank you so much." I say kissing his cheek.

"Its nothing Kitty but we gotta go. Now!" he says. We head to the window and he helps us out before jumping out himself. 

"Who told you we were here?" Peeta asks.

"You'll be surprised." he says brushing off his pants but then a gunshot goes off and he falls to the ground, blood spreads everywhere. I look and see William pointing the gun now at me.

"I told you not to move!" he yells but then another shot goes off and he falls to the ground, dead. Behind him stand a large figure.

"Ahh....just in time." Finnick says. I gasp and rush to him.

"Ohhh thank god...I thought you were dead." I say hugging him.

"Its just....my leg and YOUR LEANING ON IT!!!" I jump back.

"Oh..sorry." I say. He shakes his head and looks to the man now walking towards us. "Who is that?"

"You know him." Finnick says. I look closer only to see its....GALE?!?!??!?!

"What the hell?? Your dead!" I say standing up as Peeta locks his arms around me.

"No, I wasn't dead. Yes I got shot in the face but it didn't hit anything that could kill me. I recovered and moved away, marrying and now I have 5 kids." he says. Oh..well..great...

"So why are you here? How did you know about William?" I ask.

"Well I had been writing with the hospital he got put in after I got 'killed'. They said he broke out so I came here knowing he would come after you. They said he had an obsession with you." he says. I look to Peeta.

"So why you help us?" he asks.

"Because I do care about Katniss and I couldn't bare the thought of you getting killed by my own brother." he says. Peeta's grip tightens on me.

"Thanks Gale." I say making him smile a little.

"I'm not staying here so don't worry Peeta." he says. "But I wished I didn't have to kill him."

"I don't wanna be rude but I JUST GOT SHOT IN THE FUCKING LEG SO CALL THE HOSPITAL!!!" Finnick yells. We call an ambulance and wait. He's picked up and the cops show up, closing down the area. They question us and we're treated as well before heading home. I open the door and turn the lights on to see Annie and the triplets. They smile and jump onto me hurting me a little.

"Are you okay mommy?" Jas asks. I nod and look to Annie who looks worried.

"Finnick is okay. He's in the hospital." I say hugging her.

"What?!?" she says even more worried.

"He only got shot in the leg. He's fine. They're letting him out tomorrow. Go and see him." I say. She nods and hugs me again, then Peeta then leaves. I look to Peeta who gives me a hug and kisses my cheek.

"Come on, lets go to bed. We'll talk in the morning." he says. I nod and we put all the kids to bed then we head up to our room. As we undress for our night clothes I turn and see the bruises and slashes over his back. I gasp and walk over to him, wrapping my arms around him.

"I'm so sorry." I whisper. He turns and looks at me.

"Kat, its not your fault." he says stroking my cheek. "You did nothing but its over now."

"But he wanted me and he took you and our own son for it." I say but he kisses me shutting me up.

"No more, its over. Its us, we're okay now." he says. I nod and we crawl into bed, he holds me tightly and I close my eyes.

"I love you Peeta." I say.

"I love you more Katniss Mellark." he says just before I drift off into a finally and long awaited peaceful sleep.

HEYY!!! NIKKI'S BACK!!! 

Yes guys I am finally back and I can finally update again! Well...this week and next week cos I'll be going around on vacation and such the week after. So I hope this is a good first update!!!
