Time To Come Clean

Before you know it the monitors start beeping, catching your attention. More specifically, the heart monitor.

*beeeeeeepppppp*

*flashback*

"Aaron! Wait up!" You shout running down the hallway.

As you caught up to him, you notice his cheeks were a bright shade of red, and for the first time in a while he was smiling and your pretty sure it's not because of you. He had rolled up yellow pages in his hand, that he seemed to have a fairly nice grip on.

"What are those for?" You ask grabbing them.

"Your signing up for the play? Aaron hotchner, in a play" you ask laughing

At this point the colour in his cheeks dissaperied and he was walking. You follow him to the Auditorium, where when you go to enter the door, he stops. His eyes lay on a beautiful blond, holding a sword. He gains colour back in his face. You notice how just the look of her makes Aaron more excited.

"Oh! It's for a girl! Well, what are ya waiting for. Go gettem tiger!!" You say pushing him in the doorway and towards that stage.

"You have to come with me (y/n)! I cant do this by myself! Your my wing woman!" Aaron whisper shouts.

"Have you met her yet?" You ask

"No, I've only seen her. I'm pretty sure shes unaware of the fact I even exsist." He sighs

"Ah, love at first sight.Well, nows your chance. She doesn't know you, you dont know her. Go for it! If it was ment to be, she'll love you, for you! Go introduce yourself!" You say continuing to push him towards the stage

Just then a loud voice announces the auditions are now starting.

"And heres the perfect way to steal her heart, GO!" You scream shoving him into the huge crowd.

"YOU GOT THIS HOTCHNER!!! GO GET EM!!!" You winked

Little did you know you put him in line behind the attractive blond. She turns around and looks at Aaron for a second

"Hey" she says "hailey, hailey brooks" she says extending her hand to Aaron

"Aaron, Aaron hotchner" he says shaking her hand

*end of flashback*

The lights on the monitars are going crazy, the long awaited beep filling you ears. The machine going off indicates that Aaron's heart has stopped. You stand in silence trying to gather what just happened. Doctors start filling the room, so many people. Your eyes focus on the now, corps laying in the middle of the bed.

A bunch of nurses are trying to pull you out of the room but you dont want to leave him. He was always there for you when you needed him the most, and you were always there for him. But, then you remember things have changed since then. You stop fighting the nurses and leave the room to stand outside the room window.

There fighting to start his heart. When they shock him you see his body jolt, but no heartbeat. Again, no heartbeat.

"Charge to 300!" Shouted the doctor

"Is there someone we should call?" Asked the nurse beside you.

"Yes, my team. There numbers should be in his file" you sigh

Just then you return your eyes to the window, and you see the monitors turn back on. His heart started again. You let out a breath you didnt even know you were holding. You were relieved.

"I notified your friends, they said there on their way" whispered the nurse

"Can I go in?" You ask

"Of course"

You enter the room and pull up a chair next to his bed. You were scared to touch him. Worried that if you touch him his heart might just stop again. Everything you've done, since meeting Aaron has led up to this. You feel responsible for this. Maybe Aaron saved the spot for you on the team? Maybe, he requested you when he saw you had graduated. Your the reason this happened? But why would he try to connect again when what happened with you to?

With your hands shaking you grab Aaron's hand softly. You start to cry, saying your apologies. This IS all your fault. Jhon even said so. You were the inspiration for this stunt. The reason Aaron almost lost his life, the reason his son was almost fatherless.

"Wait, what about his wife" You whisper to yourself.

"Dont worry about that. She wouldn't be able to come even if she wanted." Someone said behind you.

It was Dave. What does he mean. You look at him with a confused look on your face.

"She died, (y/n). I called Jessica, her sister because she has jack. She said she will tell jack, but she doesn't want to bring him yet because of Aaron's state." He sighs.

She died. Shes dead?

"Haliey brooks?" You say in a meer whisper

"Wait, did you know her?"

"Yea, actually I did. She was a good friend, she was Aaron's wife?" You ask.

"Yea." He says

Wow, they hit it off that long? Is that why Aaron stopped talking to you. Stopped coming around? I mean, you both did have a pretty explosive argument, but he was your best friend. You should of been able to move past it. You look back at Aaron and started to run your fingers through his hair. Dave quitely left the room.

Maybe, it's time to come clean.

"I love you, Aaron hotchner"
