Abusive Love

1. School

I woke up to my alarm blaring and glowing crimson. I groaned and slammed my hand against the top of the clock. Mornings were and never will be my favorite time of day, but at least it was Friday.  It was the second week of my Junior year, and was not very enthusiastic about it. I started school a year early, so I was younger than everyone in my grade. 

My feet began to carry my body to my bathroom, where I started to get ready. I pulled my long   curly hair into a messy bun before heading into the shower. After around fifteen minutes, I got out and dried off. I threw on a white crop top and some grey sweatpants paired with some white Fila's before I sat down at my vanity. I liked to keep my makeup simple since there is no one worth impressing at my school.

After about thirty minutes, I took my phone off the charger and headed downstairs. I walked downstairs to see my mom passed out on the kitchen floor. The only reason we are still able to live in this house is that my mother got my dad's insurance money when he died. I hurried to the tiled floor and picked up my mother before putting her on the couch with a blanket. I sighed before grabbing my backpack and heading out to the bus stop.    

The bus eventually pulled up, and I got in with the other kids. I hurriedly shoved my earphones into my ears before someone could talk to me. I wasn't an outcast, but I liked to be alone in the mornings. The bus stopped in front of my school after a few more stops, and I groaned. I waited for everyone to get out before leaving as well. 

       As soon as I got out of the bus, Jackson walked up to me. 

"Hey, baby," Jackson said.

I didn't even bother responding because we aren't together, I just walked past him. Jackson is a player and won't leave me alone until he gets me on his fuck list. I finally got to my locker where my best friend, Claire, was waiting for me.
