At the Motel

I decided to get dressed and go to the mall, so I could get some new clothes. I took a shower and brushed my teeth before putting on grey sweatpants with a matching sweatshirt. My baby bump was getting bigger, and I know people would eventually figure out. It was a sunny day, and I began walking to the bus stop. I had checked the map the motel owner gave me to find where the mall was. The bus was practically in front of the motel, so I gave the driver money and went to sit in the back . I put in my old AirPods that Jay gave me and began to listen to a random 90's playlist.

The bus stopped near the mall parking lot and I got out. Luckily for me, I'm pretty skinny so my bump isn't super big. I went into some of the cheaper stores since I couldn't afford to splurge. I found a nice pair of black shoes.

And some new sweater and sweat pant sets since they cover bumps better

I'm finishing my senior year while being 7 months pregnant. I was quite a sight to see. The rumors only lasted a little while since there were already two other pregnant girls. I've been keeping to myself and just focusing on getting through my last year, but I still have nightmares almost every night.

While I was thinking, I bumped into someone.

"My bad," a voice said.

"It's ok, sorry for bumping into you," I whispered out.

This is how all my encounters went. They would say two words then leave. I had one more class, History, before going home. I took a seat in the back of History and began taking notes. Before I knew it, History was over. I got up and was about to leave when the teacher stopped me.

"Jasmine, I'm concerned about you. Is everything ok?" Mrs. Halls said.

"I'm ok, no need to worry," I said while smiling, hoping she wouldn't see through my lie.

She smiled and told me I could go. I went to my locker, got my stuff, and began walking to the school parking lot. Just as I began boarding the bus, I saw a familiar black car in the parking lot. My heart dropped, and I almost ran inside the bus.
