"Hi, honey! How's work going," she asked.

"Dee! you need to come right now, my ex found me, and now he's trying to force me back with him," I screamed.

"Ok, I'm on my way!" Dee said before hanging up.

Jay was screaming and banging on the door, and I don't think it was gonna take much more. I prayed that Dee would get there in time, but then I remembered my life isn't and won't ever be a fairytale. The hinges finally gave in as soon as I got a message from Dee saying she would be there in five minutes. It was too late.

I remembered the last time he broke a door to get to me, but I doubt he would just leave this time. I wondered where all my coworkers had gone, but I didn't get to finish my thought process since Jay began speed walking towards me. I tried to speak, but he almost immediately grabbed my neck and choked me. I made a gurgling sound, which only made him squeeze harder.

"Are you done being such a bitch?" he almost whispered.

I didn't make any gestures, but I guess the look in my eyes was enough of a response. Jay let go of my neck but instead put his hand around my waist. I made an attempt to pull away slightly, but he pulled me even closer. He led me outside and into his car. I reluctantly got in. I wanted to put up more of a fight, but I had a baby to think about now. Jay got in on the other side and began to drive. I stayed silent and looked straight ahead.

"I missed you, did you miss me?" he asked.

I said nothing hoping he would take the hint.

"I asked you a question," he said in an almost stern tone.

"I know," I whispered.

"Goddamnit! Answer the fucking question!" he yelled while stepping on the gas.

"This is why I left," I said, hoping he wouldn't hear me, but he did.

The car stopped causing me to violently jerk forward.

"What the hell! What if I hit my stomach!" I screamed.

Jay didn't seem to care. He just kept looking forward with his hands clutching the steering wheel. I sighed and got out of the car. As soon as I opened the door, Jay looked over.

"What the hell are you doing?" He asked in a more curious than aggressive tone.

"Moving away from you," I said while getting in the back seat.

Jay looked at me for a while before getting back on the road. After an hour or so, I saw the house in the distance. The same place I had escaped only a few months ago, but now I was back. Jay's car pulled into the driveway, and I got out. I trailed behind Jay, but once he unlocked the door, I bolted upstairs. I ran up about seven steps before Jay grabbed me.
