15. Black Serpents

I barely slept all last night because I was so worried about what Jay would think. My alarm went off just as I was starting to fall asleep. I groaned but got up anyway. I decided to text Jay before getting dressed.

Simone- Good morning, I'm about to get in the shower, so I won't be able to respond to your messages

Jay- Ok

I put my phone down and got in the shower and started playing Lil Peep- Feelz (Its kinda old, but it's hella good)

I got out and put on a white crop top with white sweatpants.

Since I'm gonna start showing soon, I wanna wear all of my crop tops before it's too late. I put on the necklace Jay gave me and put my hair in a half up half down style.

 I just had on some socks since we weren't going anywhere. I looked at myself one more time before leaving the room to go to the kitchen. I started making pancakes, potatoes, eggs, and bacon for when Jay got there.

 Once I finished and plated everything I checked the time. Jay would be home in less than 5 minutes. I didn't do any makeup just because that was too much work, but now I was worried I made the wrong choice. I calmed myself down, got a glass of water, and sat out on the porch. By the time I finished my water, I saw Jay's car pull up. I immediately stood up and began walking to it. Once Jay got out we hugged and he apologized for being rude on the phone. I accepted his apology and we went inside.

"It smells good in here," Jay said and started walking into the dining room towards the food.

"I made breakfast," I said while following closely behind him.

 I had made sure to wash all the dishes and keep the house clean while he was gone, so he wouldn't get upset. 

"This looks delicious, what's the special question?" he asked.

I went quiet and he gave me a questioning look before starting to eat. I started to eat too, and the table was silent.

"Jay, do you love me?" I asked.

"Of course I do, I want to spend the rest of my life with you," he said.

"Give me a second, don't move," I said and rushed upstairs.

I grabbed the crib and carried it down before setting it on the table in front of Jay.

"I'll understand if you're upset," I said.

He at stared it for a while, then at me. He stood up, lifted me up, and hugged me. I took that as a good sign and hugged him back.

"I'm gonna be a dad!" he yelled.

I laughed and immediately relaxed. 

"Ok we're gonna turn your room into a nursery because I want him close to us, and you'll move into my room," he said.

"I'm fine with that, but him?" I said.

"Every Ramone's first child is a boy, it's just tradition," he responded.

I nodded my head even though I wanted a girl. "Now that you're officially apart of the family, I guess you should know what I do," he said.

I raised my eyebrow but said nothing.

"My great- grandfather started a gang called the Black Serpents, and it's been passed down to the first boy of the family since," he said, "Since you're pregnant with the heir you have to join and be trained."

I didn't say anything for a few minutes before I said, "What do you do, and what are you training me for?"

"Well, we sell drugs and guns, and you need to be trained because we have a lot of enemies," he said, "Right now you're an easy target, but no one knows about you so you're fine."

"When do I start training?" I asked."After you have the baby, and we need to get married before you have him," he said.

"What what the hell do you mean we have to get married?" I asked.

"I don't want to have a kid out of wedlock, don't worry we're just gonna get a judge, but we'll have an actual ceremony after you have him," he said.

"It's not that, I'm not ready to get married!" I said.

Jay's facial expression quickly changed and he grabbed my forearm hard.

"You don't have a choice, now are we gonna have a problem," he said in a deadly tone.

I quickly shook my head causing him to let go.

"You're gonna get the gang tattoo tomorrow, and meet everyone, be ready by 8," he said and left.
