"Hey there, Stormfly." Roman lulled as he grabbed some juice out of the fridge. Virgil froze up in confusion as Roman sat next to him. Roman just laughed seeing his confusion. "What?"
"Nothing... it's just... It's only been 6 hours." Roman narrowed his eyes with a comical look making Virgil frowned. "Since you said you couldn't be around me." Roman laughed as he shook his head and sipped his juice happily.
"Oh, I took care of that." Virgil rolled his eyes as Roman smirked a bit. "Don't worry, Stormfly. I'm good now."
"Ok. If you say so." Roman nodded as he just sat there sipping his juice. Virgil was highly aware at every glance Roman gave him. Ever one he stared just a bit longer, a smile on his face. Virgil frowned as he ate his lunch silently.
"So how was your morning?" Virgil paused as he shot the other a sideways glance making Roman tense up a bit. "Besides... besides that I mean."
"It was fine, I guess." Roman smirked softly as he leaned against the table. His eyes shined with a sort of glint that caught Virgil's attention easily. "What?"
"What do you mean, what?"
"I mean what?" Roman chuckled as he sipped his juice silently. His eyes still met with those soft blues making his heart skip a beat. "You're staring at me."
"You're eyes are really bright." Virgil paled as Roman just narrowed his in intrigue. "They're like a soft sky blue being reflected off of water... catching the cun just right to make it all sparkle. Did anyone tell you that?"
"N-No..." Virgil mumbled slightly as stuffed his face just to try and hide the embarrassment.
"You're blushing." Virgil jumped as Roman's fingers brushed his cheeks lightly. Roman frowned as this realization filled his eyes. He pulled his hand back as he turned away and shook his head. "Sorry. Guess, I'm still a bit... out of it. I must not have taken care of it all like I thought I did."
"So what you turn into a flirt when your..." Roman just laughed as he rolled his eyes.
"Oh, babe, no. I'm always a flirt." Virgil's eyes got impossibly wide as Roman just smiled brightly. It was like the man was literally glowing with a warmth that Virgil actually felt himself craving. There was just something about Roman that Virgil found himself latching on to since they first met. "You think Ray is bad with his thoughts..." Roman's eyes flashed as he sighed. "You haven't begun to deal with mine."
"His thoughts around bad." Roman snapped up in shock as Virgil just smiled. "There just mature. Bad thoughts are thoughts they cause you discomfort. There thoughts that hurt you. Sure Remus will have a thought he doesn't like more often than most. But for the most part, his thoughts are just mature or graphic... and at the wrong times to be having them. I'm sure yours is no different."
"My thoughts are bad Virgil." Virgil just chuckled sadly as he stared at the remains of his mangled sandwich. "They are problematic and irritating."
"Bad thoughts are when you wake up in the morning crying because all your head can tell you is your worthless and shit." Roman's eyes darkened as Virgil just kept staring at the sandwich in his hands. "Bad thoughts are when you're just sitting there doing nothing and suddenly your in a full-blown panic attack because your mind thought that that was the perfect time to send you spirally down in a pit of broken have truths that don't actually mean anything. Bad thoughts are when your mind more abusive than your lying cheating ex scum of an aggressive scamp. Bad thoughts are looking in the mirror and seeing every mental scar and wanting to send your fist through it just so that you didn't have to see it anymore. Bad thoughts are..."
"Bad thoughts are when you cry yourself to sleep hearing the voice of your abusive father until all you can imagine is being that scared little boy again who felt so alone." Virgil's eyes widened as he looked over to Roman smiling sadly at him. "I know the feeling all too well, Virgil. I understand." Roman faltered seeing the tears slowly falling from Virgil's eyes. "Stormfly? What's wrong? Did I say something I shouldn't...." Virgil pulled the older in close shocking him as Virgil just cried into him. Roman relaxed slightly as he wrapped his arms around him as if shielding him from everything. Unfortunately, Roman knew from experience, you can't shield someone from the monsters if the monsters are in the person's head. "It's ok, Virgil."
"I'm sorry. I... I didn't mean to go o-off like that. I..." Roman just smiled as he shook his head lightly.
"It's ok. You were right anyway. Bad thoughts are the ones that hurt us. The ones that cause us pain and do damage. Not all of our thoughts are bad... Not all my thoughts are bad... just frustrating and annoying."
"Frustrating and annoying is ok." Virgil hugged him tighter as he listened to how Roman's heart started to beat just a bit faster. "Because those thoughts you can work on. They're the ones you can manage. The bad one... they're the ones you need help will."
"I can help." Virgil tensed only slightly as Roman pulled him away to look him in his eyes. Virgil noticed right away how soft and caring those big emerald green eyes were. "If you needed me to, I could help you." Virgil just smiled softly as he poked Roman's chest lightly.
"And what about you Princey?" Roman's eyes flashed as Virgil slowly moved away. "Who's here to help you? Patton's told me about you, you know? How you help everyone... How your always the one to jump in to take care of everyone when they relapse or have an episode... None of them even know you have a problem." Roman looked away only for Virgil to make him look at him again. "Who's going to help you?"
"I help myself, Virgil." Virgil's eyes darkened as Roman just shrugged. "And if I can't... Remus does. My issues aren't that bad. I've lived with it all for as long as I can remember. I'm fine."
"Well, you have me now." Roman literally snapped under Virgil's soft giggle. It was so light and caring. So soft and... He could feel his cheeks warm-up at the sound. "I'm here and I understand dealing with bad thoughts. If you need someone... please don't forget about me." Virgil's eyes narrowed as he literally watched Roman daze out in front of him. Roman's eyes dulled as this soft smile reached his lips. "Ro?" Roman just sat there lost in his thoughts until he blinked and frowned again. "Roman?"
"I'm sorry. I uh... I should go." Virgil only nodded as Roman got up to leave stopping only for a second to give Virgil a soft smile from the doorway. "Thank you though Stormfly." Virgil smiled as Roman's eyes actually lit up. "I mean it."
"I'm glad I could help somehow."
