"No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No." Roman practically slid down the steps only to freeze up at the sight of Virgil and Janus there in shock. "Ah, shit. Virgil." Roman's eyes darted down to the box in Virgil's hand making him visibly crash. "Oh... Fucking hell. You did find it."

"Find what?" Janus frowned as he quickly left hoping that maybe the two would finally talk things out. Roman just stared at the box making Virgil realize he even had it. "Oh. This?"

"Please tell me you didn't open it." Virgil only shook his head making Roman sigh in relief.

"I didn't even realize I had it. I'm sorry. I was just cleaning up and then I heard Janus... I must have walked out with it."

"I don't care as long as you didn't look." Virgil's eyes narrowed in concern as Roman reached out for it. "Can I please have it back?"

"Why can't I look?"

"Virgil, don't. Just give it back..."

"Why can't I look?" Virgil repeated as he stepped back away from him. Roman's eyes flashed with equal amounts of fear and anger as he tried to snatch it only for Virgil to pull it away. "Tell me why I can't look and maybe I'll give it back..."

"I just can't lie to you." Virgil froze up letting Roman take the box back with a relief filled expression. He cautiously glanced in probably just to make sure whatever it was was still there before stuffing it into his pocket. "I'm sorry. I just... I can't lie to you, Virgil. I can't. I can't pretend that I'm ok. I can' t just smile and joke and play around as if my life hadn't fallen apart. The only thing a can do is just... do my part in making sure it doesn't get worse. Now if you'll excuse me..." Roman started to turn away making Virgil's breathing stop. "...I going to go put this back in my room where it will have to stay."

"Roman, I'm sorry." Roman froze up instantly, one foot on the first step, as Virgil's voice echoed through the room.

"Perdóname?" Virgil laughed softly as Roman slowly turned back around to face him. "Que acabas de decir?"

"I don't speak Spanish, Roman." Roman's eyes narrowed as he slowly but surely walked himself back over to the other.

"Solo t-te disculpaste c-conmigo. P-Por qué?" Virgil's eyes narrowed in concern seeing how Roman's hands were shaking. "No entiendo. Por qué te disculpas conmigo? No fui yo quien te mintió? Virgil, estoy confundido."

"I'm confused too, Ro... You're still talking in Spanish." Roman paled as he tried to focus on getting his words out right. "Or at least I think you said you're confused."

"Lo sien-... no. I mean.. I'm sorry." Virgil frowned as Roman awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck. "And I did. I did say I was confused."

"Hey, high school Spanish at least taught me some words." Virgil beamed as Roman just stood there smiling, albeit fakely. "Ro... I'm sorry."

"Por qué... Why?" Roman grumbled slightly over him constantly slipping into Spanish but Virgil just laughed softly.

"Because I am, Roman... and I really think we need to talk." Roman quickly shook his head and furiously waved the other off once again slipping into Spanish as he tried to walk away.

"No. No Sin hablar. No voy a pasar por eso otra vez. Simplemente te convencerán y no me creerás porque realmente no tengo nada nuevo que decirte..."

"Roman!" The older froze eyes wide as Virgil yelled out just to make him stop. "Please?"

"No, no puedo. Simplemente no puedo. Virgil, no puedo pasar por eso otra vez. Virgil, no puedo soportarlo. Yo solo ... Si me dices una vez más que te lastimé ... voy a romper." Roman's eyes watered as he clutched his shirt tightly. "I will break."

"This is precisely WHY we need to talk."  Virgil took a deep breath as Roman just shook his head.

"I can't... I don't want to." Virgil nodded as he just sighed and shrugged.

"I understand. I didn't really think you would. I mean... I hurt you." Roman's face fell instantly as Virgil started to cry. "I'm sorry, Roman. I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. I was just so angry and scared. I was so so scared. I didn't know I was doing. I'm sorry."

"Hey. Hey no. No, don't cry." Roman pulled the other into an embrace melt instantly at the contact he had for so long craved for. To bad, it wasn't under different circumstances. "Don't cry, Mi vida. Please, don't cry. Odio verte llorar, mi Esperanza." Virgil couldn't help it. He just broke down as Roman spoke softly hoping to calm him down. "Please... please don't cry, my dulce. Mi único. Mi sueño. Mi dia y noche. Te quiero mucho, así que por favor no llores. Sonrisa? Por favor, sonríe para mí, amado. Please, smile for me?"

"I.. I-I can't." Virgil sobbed loudly as he gripped Roman's shirt tightly. "I just can't. I-It'd b-be fake anyway. I just... I can't p-pretend any... a-anym-more. Roman, I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I just can't do it anymore."

"If I promise to talk with you will you please stop crying? Please, Mi preciosa tormenta?" Virgil tried. He did. He tried really hard to calm himself down but the most he could get was only a tad quieter. Roman sighed sadly, with tears in his own eyes over seeing his love so broken. "It's ok. You don't have to. You can let it out." Virgil snapped completely as Roman rubbed his back supportively. In all honestly, Roman had thought if they were even in this position it would have been the other way around. Roman knew he was broken... he just never thought Virgil was too. He just guessed that since Virgil didn't seem as upset as he was that it didn't hurt him as much. Obviously Virgil was just better at lying about his feelings than he was. Roman's heart broke at the thought. Just another skill Virgil must have gotten from his relationship with Marcos. "Why don't we go back to the room. We can talk there once you've calmed down."
