"Virgil?" Virgil laughed at himself Janus's voice rang through the home. He rolled his eyes as he walked out the door to find his friend just standing there as Patton gave his boyfriend a kiss and went to go work on something in the back. Janus's eyes were filled with pain once they met with Virgil's. "Vi?"

"What is it, Jan? You look like you've been crying." Janus wiped his eyes a bit before shaking his head and shoving his phone into Virgil's chest nearly making him drop the box that he had forgotten he was still holding.

"He wasn't lying, Vi."

"What?" Virgil fumbled with the phone finding it on this video of a man he didn't recognize. "What are you talking about Jan?"

"Roman... He didn't lie to you." Janus shifted awkwardly as he tried to get Virgil to look at the phone. "Vi, please?"

"Janus, I told you to stop. There's nothing you can..."

"Watch the video, Virgil!" Virgil jumped at the sudden volume managing a small nod before pressing play. Almost instantly he could make out Janus's voice from behind the camera.

"I just need confirmation." The man in the video frowned slightly as his eyes went wide. "Roman... He mentioned you were his doctor." So that's what this was about. Virgil glared over at his friend who shook his head.

"Please just listen, Virgil. You have to hear what Emile Picani say's."

"Janus, I'm sorry, but anything told to me in confidence I cannot share." Virgil rolled his eyes as he turned back to the phone as his other hand fiddled anxiously with the small box in his grasp.

"I don't need to know what was said. Just that he does go to therapy." Virgil's eyes narrowed at the obvious shake in his friend's voice in the video.

"Again I can't divulge that information. I'm under doctor-patient confidentiality. The only one that can give you that information is Roman himself." Janus groaned audibly as he fixed the position of the phone to record better.

"He has." Emile only frowned more making Virgil tense in concern. "Roman has many times stated he had therapy. He's the one that told me you were his doctor. I said that didn't I?" Virgil could see as Patton nodded in the background. "The problem is I need confirmation."

"And that something I cannot provide. I am under oath to not give out any personal information that could jeopardize the wellbeing of another. I'm sorry." Why was Janus making Virgil watch this if all Emile was doing was telling him that he couldn't answer his question? Virgil noted as the doctor started to turn away only to stop and turn back with a very broken-hearted frown. "I'm sorry, Janus but..."

"I don't need to know what he said. I don't even need to know if he's your patient... or how long he's been seeing you. I don't need ANY other information other than that he does in fact go or went to therapy at anytime this past year." Emile's expression softened as the video started to get shaky no doubt showing that Janus was shaking when he recorded it. "I just need to know that he was telling the truth. It's important. He has to know Roman didn't lie to him." Emile's eyes went wide as Janus audibly choked a bit. "He has to know Roman didn't lie... that he never lied to him. Please. Please just confirm Roman has gone to therapy. That's all I need from you." Virgil's eyes slowly met with his friends before him and he broke down seeing the tears in his eyes. "Please? Did Roman go to therapy?"

"Yes. Roman's been seeing me now for over a year. He's never missed a single appoint and I was fairly proud of how far he's come in just that span of time." Virgil's heart completely shattered as his eyes fell. "I can't talk about anything we've spoke about but... I guess it won't be to horrible to say that... Roman had made so much progress, and even though I can't go into specifics, I could tell he was proud of himself too. He had a reason to push himself... If you hear asking for confirmation then... You must know what happened then."

"I'm sure he told you I was partly to blame." Emile smiled in the video as he shook his head. "Right, doctor-patient shit..."

"It's not shit. It establishes trust. Regardless, that's not what I meant. The point is you know what happened... Which means you know more than I do at this juncture. I just hope that this... confirmation helps to mend at least something for those two." Virgil's eyes were tearing up as the video slowly ticked away to the very last second. "He's truly lost without him."

"Vi?" Janus took the phone from Virgil's hands noticing how frozen his friend was and he sighed. "Virgil?"

"I don't..." There was a very loud crash from upstairs, followed by a door slamming as someone yelled out, causing Virgil to jump and clam up.

"No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No." Roman practically slid down the steps only to freeze up at the sight of Virgil and Janus there in shock. "Ah, shit. Virgil." Roman's eyes darted down to the box in Virgil's hand making him visibly crash. "Oh... Fucking hell. You did find it."

"Find what?" Janus frowned as he quickly left hoping that maybe the two would finally talk things out. Roman just stared at the box making Virgil realize he even had it. "Oh. This?"

"Please tell me you didn't open it." Virgil only shook his head making Roman sigh in relief.

"I didn't even realize I had it. I'm sorry. I was just cleaning up and then I heard Janus... I must have walked out with it."

"I don't care as long as you didn't look." Virgil's eyes narrowed in concern as Roman reached out for it. "Can I please have it back?"

"Why can't I look?"

"Virgil, don't. Just give it back..."

"Why can't I look?" Virgil repeated as he stepped back away from him. Roman's eyes flashed with equal amounts of fear and anger as he tried to snatch it only for Virgil to pull it away. "Tell me why I can't look and maybe I'll give it back..."

"I just can't lie to you." Virgil froze up letting Roman take the box back with a relief filled expression. He cautiously glanced in probably just to make sure whatever it was was still there before stuffing it into his pocket. "I'm sorry. I just... I can't lie to you, Virgil. I can't. I can't pretend that I'm ok. I can' t just smile and joke and play around as if my life hadn't fallen apart. The only thing a can do is just... do my part in making sure it doesn't get worse. Now if you'll excuse me..." Roman started to turn away making Virgil's breathing stop. "...I going to go put this back in my room where it will have to stay."

"Roman, I'm sorry."
