"VIRGIL!" The front door slammed shot making the smaller just at the sound of his voice getting yelled out. Next thing he knew he had arms wrapped around him tightly. "I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. I didn't know what day it was. For some reason, I thought it the 17th. I'm so sorry." Virgil sighed as he turned himself around to see Roman literally crying as guilt filled his eyes. "I'm sorry, Virgil. You know if I knew, I never would have left. Even for something as important as that. I love you so much. I'm sorry."
"Hey, calm down, Princey. I'm ok now. I was just a little angry. I thought you had forgotten."
"I could never forget your birthday, Love. I've just been a bit frazzled I lost track of the days." Virgil smiled as he leaned against Roman's shoulder. "I love you so much, Virgil. You mean everything to me." Roman laughed softly as he lifted up a small box making Virgil tense up. "It's not a ring, so don't worry. I just... When I realized how much I fucked up today I felt like I had to make it up to you."
"Roman..."
"I know you said no gifts but... Virgil, I was supposed to be with you all day. We were going to cuddle and watch movies... just the two of us being together. None of that happened... because of me. I HAD to do something for you." Virgil gently took the box from him and narrowed his eyes in thought. "Besides... I was already out and I spotted it... I just... I thought it fit you."
"Ro..." Virgil froze as he opened the box to find a silver and gold storm cloud and his eyes went wide. Roman laughed softly as he pulled the necklace out and carefully clasped it around Virgil's neck letting it sit beside the locket that Virgil hardly ever takes off.
"There... Now, don't you look stunning?" Roman smiled as he tucked Virgil's hair back. "Of course you look absolutely stunning regardless, My love."
"You didn't have to."
"No. No, I didn't." Roman placed a soft kiss on his forehead as he held him close. "I wanted to, Love."
"Come on, Roman." Virgil giggled as he took his boyfriend's hands and started to lead him out of the room. "We can still get our cuddles in."
"Aren't you still mad at me?" Virgil just shook his head as the two slowly walked up the steps.
"Nah. Jan helped me to calm down after you left. You said it was important. And Jan was right...." Virgil laughed as he opened Roman's bedroom door. "You came running back when you realized what today was."
"I'm so sorry, Virgil. I really am..." Virgil just shook his head as he walked over to the nightstand and carefully took off his Locket and necklace, placing them in the small 'prince' box Roman had kept there. Virgil smirked as he took his hoodie off, watching Roman's eyes dilate slightly at the action. Virgil wasn't stupid. He knew exactly what to do to elicit the reaction he wanted. He turned away as he pulled his shirt off and carefully set that and his hoodie on the chair before jumping onto the bed.
"I already told you it's ok, Roman. Now, please?" Virgil made grabby hands over at the other, making Roman laugh as he nodded and walked himself over. Roman only took his jacket off but Virgil didn't mind. He had been planning this for so long. Sure it wasn't exact. He was hoping to have to a whole day to work up to this point but... honestly, he just didn't care about the build-up. He loved that man more than anything in the world. He wanted tonight to be very special between the two of them. Sure it might have been Virgil's birthday but... He wanted to give Roman a very special gift. "Can you pass me the remote?"
"Are we gonna netfix and chill?" Roman laughed as he watched Virgil switch to Netflix. Virgil just rolled his eyes playfully as Roman slowly calmed down. "I'm kidding. I know you're not ready." Roman smiled as he watched Virgil go through the movies until he realized just what exactly Virgil had put on.
"Rent? Again?" Roman tensed with anxiety as Virgil just smirked slightly. "Didn't we already watch that... during movie night?"
"You might have but I was a bit busy." Roman flushed as Virgil curled up into him with a chuckle. "And it's my birthday, which you basically abandoned me on."
"Virgil, I..."
"I want to watch Rent with my boyfriend on my birthday while we cuddle and just be together." Roman's face fell as he wrapped his arms around his love and nodded.
"Ok, Love. Whatever you want." Virgil smiled as he cuddled in close and let out a soft breath as the sound of 'Season's of Love' played around them. Roman's eyes were trained to the screen getting lost in the music as Virgil just laid there staring at his chest tracing small shapes into him as he smiled. "What are you doing?"
"Nothing, Just messing with you. You still have your shirt on. Yet I took mine off and now I'm freezing." Roman laughed as he shook his head playfully.
"That was your choice, Virge." Virgil 'shivered' slightly making Roman sigh softly. "Ok. Ok. I get it. You want me to suffer to don't you?" Virgil nodded with a small smiled as he pulled away to let Roman take his shirt off. As soon as Roman started Virgil jumped on top of him pressing against him as he helped to lift his shirt off of him. Roman's face was beet red as Virgil just smiled innocently at him.
"What?"
"N-Nothing!" Roman managed to squeak out as Virgil just laughed. Virgil just stayed like that over top of him as he laid his head against Roman's chest.
"You're so warm." Virgil melted as Roman wrapped his arms around him again as the song 'Rent' played through the speakers. "I love you."
"I love you too, Stormfly."
