"You seriously must be some kind of stupid." Roman's eyes narrowed slightly as he just tiredly glanced off to the side to see Logan just glaring over at the bed. Roman had woken up early and couldn't fall back to sleep so he just sat there at his desk, head against the wood, with this guilt-filled and exhausted look all while Jade slept peacefully in his bed. "I never actually thought you would bring anyone home with you."
"Well, I did. Do you have any more nice words to say or was that it?"
"No, actually, that wasn't it." Logan sighed as Roman simply buried his head back into his arms as if a kid sleeping in class. "Roman, I'm sorry. I know I've been a bit hard on you but that only because I know you can be better. You've been doing so good and to just make a complete u-turn."
"You don't know what you're talking about, Lo." Logan only nodded as Roman mumbled through his arms. A soft sound caught Roman's attention making him look up only to crash seeing that small little black velvet box sitting there right beside him.
"I figured since you refused to go that I would pick it up." Roman's hands shook as he carefully picked it up and just stared at it. "I know, you said you didn't want the reminder of everything you wanted but... maybe it will remind you of why you fought so hard, to begin with."
"No, I don't want to..." Roman went to give it back only for Logan to open it and reveal a very beautiful ring making Roman freeze up at the sight. They had it custom made and everything. Roman's hands shook horribly as he pulled the ring out and just stared at it. "It's even more beautiful than I thought it would be." The ring itself was silver with tiny black and lilac diamonds in a trail on both sides leading to the larger white diamond that was cut to look like a stormcloud. And on the inside was a special engraving, looped around the ring... 'Mi vida comenzó gracias a una tormenta.' in small but legible lettering.
"You were going to propose, Roman. You were so excited. You even dragged me out to the jewelers to help you get the perfect ring. Why aren't you still trying?"
"He told me he was done." Roman carefully set the ring back into the box before closing it and pushing it away. "I don't want to hold on to something and push for it all if he truly can't do it anymore. I love him, Lo. I refuse to hurt him."
"Roman..." Roman just laid his head back down as Logan sighed. "Is there really nothing I can say to get you to see reason?"
"There's nothing to see, Lo. What's done is done? The man I love left me. That's all there is to that. Now if that's all that you had to say..."
"I seriously can't believe you're just..."
"Look, Lo." Roman yelled out causing Jade to fuss slightly on the bed. "I already am feeling incredibly shit over everything. There is literally NOTHING you can say that would make it worse. So just fucking leave me alone. Go back to Remus. Hang with him... He is your boyfriend after all and just stay out of my life!"
"Nothing?" Roman groaned as he rolled his eyes ignoring how Jade slowly started to sit up in bed. Logan just laughed as he shook his head. "Roman, I can guarantee that there is at least one thing I can say that would make you feel worse."
"Yeah, and what per se would that be Logan?" Logan's eyes narrowed as he looked up at Jade who was just staring at the two in concern, while in just a tank and her underwear.
"Virgil, made breakfast this morning." Roman's eyes narrowed in confusion as Logan scoffed and started for the door. "He made 7 plates."
"Shit." Roman sat there as the door closed his blood turning to ice as Jade slowly moved from the couch. "Fucking dick, why'd he have to tell me that?"
