💔imagine: dreams and heart break

You were waiting at the gym room. It was a regular day but at the same time heart breaking day for you.

You understood that your boyfriend's popularity is going ahead right now after all the shooting and releasing of his very own songs.  You couldn't be more happier than that.

But...

It was just too much.

At first, you thought having Joshua being by your side will be better. But it was tough. You can't have a time with him because of his busy schedules of shooting and interviews. In addition, Having some fans doing such things that you could never imagine.

Joshua was walking his way and he waved his hand to you receiving a smile from you.

He's so happy with everything's going on with his career.

And you felt the obligation to not become a barrier from his dreams.

"Hey, are you free tonight? I just have a reservation--"

"I can't go tonight. Not tonight"

" Is everything okay?" you could see the worriness in his eyes. Joshua was about to hold your arm but you yank your hand before it touches his. Because if you felt his touch it would be harder for you to do this.

Joshua's eyes stayed on yours and waited for you to explain as he felt something was bothering you.

"I... I don't I can do this anymore." for the very first time you spoke to him about what you've been feeling for your relationship. He sighed and look down.

"I'm sorry. I just--"

" Is it about my career?" Joshua's eyes gleamed as he try to understand the situation.

"I can't make you choose between me and your dream." you voice whimpers as you tried to hold back the tears.

"Y/N, come on. We've talked about this and--"

"I know you'll choose me, Joshy." it took you all of the courage when you held his cheeks.  There was hurt in his eyes making your tears fall.

"But... we both know how your dream means to you. Listen," you cut Joshua as you  continue sobbing.

"I--I love you. But my love for you is never enough for you to achieve your dreams. I can't become a person that hold you from doing all what you love." Joshua looks down and breathe. A tear escapes his eyes.

"I love you but I can't do this anymore." With that Joshua held you in his arms. You heard him sobbing in tears. Because what is happening right now never occurred to Joshua that will happen between the two of you.

"We can handle this, Y/N. Just let's talk this out and--"

"Please? Say yes to me... that we'll talk and sort this out." Joshua begged. You closed your eyes and tried to remembered this last moment with him.

"Y/N? Say yes, for me?"

"Goodbye, Joshua." with that you let go of him as if every moment that was attached to him slowly detaches. That breaks Joshua.

"I love you, Y/N." making it hard for you. Joshua's bright smile were all biting his lips unsuccessfully trying to hold his tears.

It took you a lot of courage like before to push yourself away from Joshua. Joshua stood there looking at you, closing his eyes trying to wake up, wishing everything was a nightmare.

You hear a shattering glass as you take every step, walking away from the first and last boy that you've ever loved that widely and deeply.

"Please, say yes..." Joshua begged as he watched you walk away.

And he realized that it took one dream to break the two of you.
