"You're not wearing that." Joshua stubbornly said, while he's pointing the clothes that you were wearing. It wasn't that revealing but he is just adamant on not allowing you wear a blue navy cropped top rashguard.

"Come on, what do you want me to wear? Jeans?" you scoffed when he shrugged and nodded. At least it wasn't catching too attention,he reasons.

"It's not even a two piece!" you debated, Joshua still shook his head and applied some lotion to his nose. He didn't even bother applying it neatly, he just apply it generously to his nose. You sighed, and sat beside him.

"It's so unfair to be that good looking." you breathe as you remove the excess lotion. His confused eyes on yours.

"I'm not that good looking if that's what you're implying, Y/N." Joshua was one of those guys who are grounded when it comes to compliments.

"And if you're trying to change the subject nice try, babe." Joshua leaned to your bag, before you could even stop him, Joshua tossed a long swim cover.

"No buts, I'll allow you to wear that and you're gonna wear this."

"Okay fine, dad!" with that Joshua laughed. Sometimes Joshua is more stricter than your dad, you thought.

You enjoyed walking in the beach, there's not that many people strolling early. Joshua leans to whisper to ask if you want some ice cream. You were about to turn, but I shop caught your attention.

"These are cute." you heard Joshua commented on the cute shell bracelets. But a particular accessory caught your attention. It was a beautiful and yet simple bracelet.

"It's a very pretty bracelet isn't it?" an old lady came to you, you offered her a sweet smile and agreed to her.

"Very rare for us to sell these bracelets, it's a distance bracelet" your eyes admired the matchy bracelets.

"From the name itself , it's for couples who are apart and have distance. The purpose of this bracelet is that— like you give your mate a piece of you" Joshua was busy looking at some of the souvenir.

"It comforts, shows love through time and you could say it binds a relationship." a smile creep on your lips.

"Wedding ring." you finished, earning a beam from the old lady.

" Here's a song for the person that I love." Joshua and you watched a man serenade the woman who was sitting at the front table.

"Are you enjoying—" you leaned a kiss for an answer, making him hold his breath.

"I'm sorry if I have to leave for tomorrow. The agency needed me—"

" I know, it's okay. I just hope that you'll come back early."

"I will, I'll come back here before anyone would schedule me again. You won't even feel that I left." Joshua wince, he mentally hit himself for turning it out that he stood you up. You chuckled, and pulled something.

"You better be," Joshua frowned when you put something on his hand.

"What's this?" his eyes trail on the bracelet.

"It's a distance bracelet. It's like a...wedding ring, but of course it's more lower on that level—but... I want you to have this."

"I just want you to remember that... I want to give you my other part of me. Piece of me. You know that from the start it's hard for me to do that and I'm very glad that you didn't give up on me." Joshua kept his gaze locked on yours as you speak.

"I know, it's quite cringey and —" before you could start babbling Joshua envelops you into a hug.

" Thank you, Y/N." he thanked and breathes.

Before you could even comprehend Joshua was already on the stage. You heard a few people whistling and noticing that the lead actor of the Disney series is about to perform on the stage.

"Hi, I'm Joshua Bassett." you could feel your cheeks become flushed when his arms extends and point on your table. His fingers start to touches the piano.

" That girl sitting on that table is the most important person in my life and I love her."

It was nice spending this day with him because these couple of months he's been busy. And instead of changing himself, still he stayed to be the person that you love.

Joshua's eyes stayed on yours since day one. It is gonna be difficult but love is greater than difficulties, Joshua pointed before because of experiencing contrasting schedules and discourage coming from other people.
