😓 imagine: he's having a nightmare

It was hard seeing Joshua all tired and drained because of those sleepless night.

" Y/N, could you grab my notebook." Joshua looked like he was about to collapse, his two eyes gaze at yours with full of evidence of how he tried so hard to sleep. These couple of days he was having those nightmares, it started when the two of you almost break up.

You felt bad about it. Joshua waited as your hand gripped on his music notebook opening it the pages were all crumpled. Imagining him trying to stay up to write some songs made it a lot worse.

" Joshua, are you sure you don't want to rest for awhile?" handing him his notebook, he nods.

" I'm worried... You have these nightmares —"

"Y/N I'm seriously fine. Those were just nightmare." Joshua interrupts you,he paused and notices your worry and held your top hand massaging it reassuringly.

" I'm fine, Y/N. Don't worry about me."

" It's too painful..." you accidentally woke up when you heard of a voice with such full of fears. Joshua slumped looking fragile as he frowned, you almost widen your eyes to see clearly if he was just sweating... or crying.

" Just... Don't hurt her. Y/N... " poking his shoulders lightly.

" Joshua wake up." he moved his shoulders, revealing his state. Joshua was crying and the way he breathe was different.

Sitting up, you leaned closer to him to wake him up. Instead of calming, the way you gently shake him affected him badly.

" Don't! Dont you dare touch her!" it was the first time you heard Joshua mad and with such pleading in his voice. Fear surges at the pit of your stomach.

"Joshy, it's just a nightmare. Baby, wake up."

"NO!" Joshua shot up and sat quickly. His breathe fastens, upon realizing that it was just a dream Joshua laid his face on his palm, covering his face. Joshua let out a weak cry.

" It's another nightmare. Joshy, it isn't real." you gasped in surprise when your small body was enveloped with his strong and secure arms.

" You're here..." it almost came out as a question when he utter it.

His arms rested weakly on your shoulders, you could feel him shaking.

He was terrified of losing you.

Your arms did the same tracing some soothing lines through his back,trying to calm him.

" I thought I lost you... I thought I won't see you again." you could feel Joshua on your neck  the wet tears falling on your skin.

" They... tried to take you away from me. T-They thought—" you shushed, closing your eyes not being able to endure the pain and fear Joshua was into.

"You won't lose me. Never." Joshua looked down trying to stop the tears away.

" But it felt so real..."

You gripped his hands, tightly.

" Those are just dreams and I'm real. Joshua you're safe here with me— and I know that you won't let anything happen to us again. " there was so much pain through his eyes that made you wonder what happened through his nightmare.

He let out a deep sighed, leaning to hug—but shower your lips with a long but still kiss. Closing your eyes, allowing Joshua to believe that you're real and what he just dreamt was just a nightmare that won't steal you away from him.

Raising your arms enveloping it above his shoulders while Joshua tilts your head to shower you with such passionate kiss. Joshua let out a shaky breath when he realized that you were really there with him, close to him.

Seeing his tired eyes made you just want to hug him protectively from the nightmares.

" Joshy, let's sleep." there was hesitancy though his eyes, but he trusted you that fully to rest with him while the two of you held each other so close like that there was no skin of the two of you didn't touch.

" Goodnight, Joshy."

" Goodnight, Y/N... I love you... "
