🧼imagine: he bathes your baby

a/n: to be practically honest w y'all, im a little bit worried w j. bassett before cuz after all the crazy accusation going on in twitter. (that's why i don't do twitter)
and right now,
im sharing this because im actually glad and relieved that he's doing okay since he just turn back all of his posts on instagram and posted a new song titled 'heaven is you' which i find very touching and have the feels.

"Baby please!"

"Come on, why won't you allow me—"

Hearing your husband, Joshua, whining on wanting to bathe your baby.

"You know exactly why." you mutter while playing with the small arms of Y/B/N (your baby's name). You heard the baby giggle in excitement as you offer a sweet lollipop.

"Y/N, I just want to bathe our cute little baby." Joshua sat beside you and without a second the baby raise its arms to your husband.

"Looks like we got ourselves a daddy's baby." you joked, Y/B/N raises its little arms and joyfully rests it on Joshua sides, hugging Joshua.

Your hand finds its way to the soft curly brown hair, that made the baby scream in excitement.

"What do you say Y/B/N? Do you wanna go to bath with daddy?" Joshua changes his voice in a adorable light voice, the baby nodded in response.

Joshua couldn't help but to peck a kiss on your baby's cheek.

The baby hiccups, when your husband did it.

"See? Our baby wants me to?" Joshua debated, while holding your baby on its armpits.

"Fine! Just don't take too long. Y/B/N will catch a cold if—"

" I know Y/N. You know I'm the best baby bather." that made you laugh at how he utter weird statements while holding your baby.

His completely caught up on Y/B/N.

"Baby, baby, baby." it was impossible not to hear Joshua's voice while doing work.

You heard Y/B/N laughter inside the bathroom which made you follow.

There you saw Joshua rinsing the baby's face gently, he played with Y/B/N's hair forming it into a shark dorsal fin.

"Baby shark ddu ddu dudududu."

Joshua sang happily while distracting the baby. He made sure to rinse every bubbles.

You found yourself watching the two people who made you complete.

Y/B/N cried.

Joshua alarmingly took a towel and wipe the baby's face carefully.

" Aw... Sorry baby..." he made hurt expression and pepper a kiss on Y/B/N's eyes. But within a moment when Y/B/N held Joshua's hand, he could feel his heart sink due to being all filled up with love.

"Dada..." you jumped in surprise after hearing what Y/B/N just said. For the first time.

"Oh my gosh! Our baby just spoke!" Joshua held you close when you sat beside him.

"What did you just say, baby?" Joshua asked, utterly caught off guard.

"D-Dada..." Y/B/N played with the toys on the bathtub, you were about to take the baby when Joshua interlocks his hands with yours.

Joshua raised your hand, making you admire the wonderful ring that took all this to another level. You felt your heart beats faster like the first time you just met him, as his kiss felt tender on the back of your hand.

"Y/N, thank you." he pressed a kiss on your lips.

"I'm really so... so happy." you didn't expected him to tear and all—but Joshua was there holding you and thanking you for making him so impossibly happy.

"I love you, Y/N." holding you close.

"We love you too, Joshy."

"This is exactly why I don't want you bathing Y/B/N." a small smile forms at the corner of Joshua's lips, you wiped the tears away.

"Dada!" Y/B/N chimed in, energetically.
