i can't think the proper title for this chapter, weird, because whenever the word vampire crossed my mind, edward cullen with sparkling body always pops in my head.

" Mom? It's me, Y/N. I will be home late tonight—" you call ended your phone, pushed and dialing 911.

Feeling that your being followed you made another turn. You could feel your heart beating hysterically.

Fixing your focus on the path you were taking, you sprint for it sensing that the person behind you almost grabbed you from behind.

If this was like the usual normal scenario you're dealing you would've panicked since when the guy behind you continuously follows you. But it isn't just any normal—the guy behind isn't normal.

Gasping for air as you ran for a crowded place, you almost yelp in surprise when he cornered you and revealing his dark charcoal eyes inviting you into darkness.

" You have no idea... how badly I want to hurt her right now." you heard an unfamiliar voice beside you.

" Don't you dare touch her!" that made you flutter your eyes open.

There. You saw him.

Though, he looks different right now. The first time you laid your eyes at him, his hazel brown eyes enchants you into something that you shouldn't be into.

And right now, it proves it.

His brown eyes dimmed into a mystifying charcoal black that shows darkness, danger and... hunger.

" J-Joshua?" you felt a sudden twist on your arm, you yelp in pain.

" Stop." Joshua raised his arms, motioning the stranger to stop hurting you.

" I know you're pissed at me, just stop that." but you knew that the guy holding you has this eerie and psychotic in him to not do what Joshua said.

Then, after that Joshua gritted his teeth when he heard you scream in agony as the stranger broke your leg.

As fast as the wind, you ended up lying on the cold wet ground. You whimpered, crawling your way out of the scene.

" She'll be a nice v-vampire—" you heard a loud crash behind you, worriedly you spun around just to get surprise when the stranger grabbed you by the wrist—

Joshua pushed the stranger away, knocking him out.

You didn't realize that the ground was covered in blood. Your blood.

You heard him growled in hunger—but he turn his head for a moment.

" Are you okay...?" you shakily asked, when you saw blood on his forehead. You met his gaze, it was weird for a moment that you felt calm and in peace.

Which made Joshua feel the rarest emotion that he has forgotten to feel—

Fear.

"Hey, don't." he extends his arms to touch you.

" Y/N, don't close your eyes."

"I won't." you exhales, and before you know it his strong arms around your weak body.

" You're losing too much blood—"

"I know..." you cried in pain when Joshua tried to picked you up. Joshua eyes widen when he realized how badly hurt you were.

"I-I'm sorry, Y/N." he looks down guiltily.

" I didn't realize until now that your eyes were black..." Joshua looks at your hand as it gently touches his cold cheeks.

" They were brown." then you felt dizzy and exhaustion takes over—

" Y/N, don't you dare close those eyes of yours—just look at me. " Joshua eyes glimmers as he tries distract you.

" I'm too tired..." then your eyes saw the light.

Joshua's POV

I stayed silently at her, her lifeless body rests in my arms.

I felt my eyes burns remembering that I didn't save her from the one thing that I didn't want her to encounter.

"Wake up, baby." Joshua remembered the first time he saw you, it was during those unfortunate moment where you found yourself enchanted by his beauty and horror.

" Don't leave..." with everything he have—he tried to wake you up. But nothing.

He sense something inside him snapped, due to grieve and brokenness.

Not bearing of losing you.

"Y/N, please wake up..."

Pushing your locks to the other side, Joshua frowned hearing your steady heart beat.

" Forgive me, Y/N." Joshua made a pained look as if  tasting venom through his lips as his soft lips touches your neck. Joshua allowed every string inside him snap, risking everything to get you back.
