🏚️imagine : confession inside a haunted house

Your friends dared you and your longtime crush, Joshua go inside a haunted house. You cast a killing glare at your best friend who made the dare, since she knew that you have feelings with Joshua.

"Are you ready?" Joshua asked, trying to make sure you were okay with this. You have no idea what possess you or something because besides the fact that you were actually scared of going inside the haunted house. It was your first time and it never occur to you that you'll go inside in one of those terrifying places. You smiled and nodded, Joshua noticed how tense you were.

"Good luck, mate!" One of your friend said as the two of you walked and before you knew it your eyes meet blackness of the place. You hugged yourself and took a step beside Joshua.

"It's just a piece of cake, Y/N." Joshua tries to shrug the tense off your shoulder, you grinned at him and warily turn around you to see any signs of danger. Joshua cast another glimpse at you.

A smile forms to your lips when you saw from far away, light. But before you could take another step, a ghost appear in front of you and Joshua making you scream in fear and envelop your arm around his.

"Hey, it's gone. Y/N it isn't real, see?" He pushed the plastic ghost away from you. Joshua was about to comfort you when you felt someone grab a hold of your ankle.

"Wahhhh! Someone grabbed me!" and without even thinking you ran away, Joshua called out for your name. Because you were going the wrong way. You were shaking in fear and could feel your tears falling on your cheeks in fear.

You heard some banging doors and eerie sounds which made it a lot worse, then you realized the path you just took was dead end. It felt like you whiten, when you saw a girl with blood on her face crawling it's way to you. Not knowing what to do, you covered your ears and shut your eyes. Hoping that everything would just stop.

"Y/N?"  Joshua heard a cry and quickly went  to where the sound came. He saw you sitting on the floor, covering your ears. His hands grips protectively on yours, then he realized you were crying when Joshua touched your cheeks, gently.

"Sshhh... I'm here." Joshua pulled you in his arms securely. He regretted allowing you to leave his sight, leaving you in fear. He could  feel your arms were shaking.

"J-Joshua?" you breathe and another shrieking sound came making you scream and cry.

"Don't cry. I'm here, alright?" Joshua noticed that you weren't calming down, his hand pulled your chin allowing you to see the pure concern and sincerity through his eyes.

"I don't want to go anywhere..." you cried in his chest, Joshua sighed and closed his eyes.

"Y/N, I know the way out. It's gonna be harder if—" he moved you away from where the horrifying bloody girl was aiming to scare you. Joshua's other arm held your head pushing you to his chest, so that you couldn't see any horrifying things.

You felt your cheeks burn when you heard his heartbeat fasten.

"Hey Y/N, just look at me. Alright? I'll get us out here—"

"I-I'm scared, Joshua." you admitted anf the two of you stayed like that for a minute or two. You felt Joshua sighed.

"I like you, Y/N." Joshua confessed, your heart fasten its pace and your cheeks is getting hotter.

" W-What?" Joshua instead of answering,

"Just look to me, Y/N. Okay?"  with that Joshua started walking as his arm wrapped around you and his other hand held your cheek so that your head is raised and your eyes won't leave him.

"You're doing great, Y/N. Just one more." Joshua eyes squinted as he found the way out. You fell on your knees in fear. Fortunately, Joshua was ready to catch you.

"You did great, Y/N." he smiled and complimented.

"Y-You like me?" Joshua blushed when you asked and shrugged.

"I w-was trying to distract you from —"

"But you like me?" the two of you regain yourselves and shyly turn to each other. Joshua was scratching the back of his neck.

"W-Well... yeah, I like you." he confess.

"But if you totally don't feel the same way what stays in the haunted house stays—" He was left surprised when your soft lips met his cheek.

"No— I mean... I like you too, Joshua. I think it's a good choice not to leave those feelings behind."
