You glance to your shoulder expecting to find a friendly smile, while holding a new book.

"Staring at your boyfriend again?" you best friend nudges you, creating a loud noise during focused reading a book in the class is the least thing you want from her.

"Now, we'll be doing a project and I'll pair the class."

Maybe this is one of the days where you just unwantingly to have the odds in your favor. As your Literature Teacher paired you with the only person that you'd like to be paired with.

"What're you lookin at?" you were paired up with Pete, one of the bad boys and bully.

"I need some full participation with each pair." your teacher finished, the class were gonna be assigned with each genre of literature and create a story about it.

You weren't fully confident that you could push this subject on an A+ because by the looks of it you might end up dead with your partner glaring at you.

"S-So we're just gonna wait for—"

"Ma'am, can I have a question?" Joshua kindly inquire sending all of the students attention at him.

"May I be paired up with Y/N?" that question made your face become all red.

"Why Mr. Bassett?"

You glance at Joshua who already got up from his seat and making his way on your table.

"If I'm mistaken we students are given the rights to choose whom we should paired up with." he said as a matter of fact, Joshua smiles at the teacher whom already knew what he's doing.

"Indeed, Mr. Bassett." he nodded, before the other student could argue about changing their partners he assigned each tables with different genre of literature.

" Fortunately, we're assigned fiction." Joshua greets beside you.

Letting out a nervous breath, you nodded and continued trying to think of a better plot.

"We should probably talk about where we should do our project, Y/N."

"O-Oh, yeah. S-Sure."
