That morning you'd been the one tasked with having to leave the house and grab the mail. You picked it out from the box, sifting through it eagerly. A tax, a letter from the town, a million magazines and advertisements, your fingers paused on one particularly odd piece.

First off, it had been addressed to you, which was odd considering you rarely got mail unless it was from the bank. However you were even more shocked to see it had arrived from Japan. Curious, you flipped it over, nearly having a heart attack from what you saw. Srinting up the stairs to your apartment, you ran to your new room, slamming the door behind you without thought.

The U.A. the school crest was engraved into the top corner. You excitedly tore it open, reading the "congratulations" at the top of the letter. Quickly scanning it, you had to re-read five times to make sure you were reading it right.

You'd been anonymously recommended for the hero course. They gave you a date and time as to when your admissions exams would be if you did choose to attend, as well as a phone number to call with your confirmation.

Your mother rushed in, probably assuming you were being ax murdered given the noise you were causing. She picked up the letter and quickly read it, showing the same enthusiasm you were. The only problem with this amazing opportunity being Japan was on the other end of the fucking world. It wasn't like you could just pack up and leave. (Unless I gotta get the story rolling)

"Mom," you started with a sigh. This was a conversation you dreaded, and wished it was easier, but that's not how the world works. "I want to go just as much as the next person does, but we can't just pack up and move to Japan."

"We'll see what we can do about the situation. Your siblings and I would have to come along too, because I would hate to have them live with that father of yours," she scoffed. You cringed at the thought of them having to spend the rest of their young lives with him.

After about a week you finally told your sister and they happily agreed. Although they would miss their friends, the thought of moving to a new county amazed them. Your mom planned things out and decided you would move to japan two months before the exam and if you didn't make it, you would find another school in japan to apply to. You had a good feeling about this but you just needed to find a way to tell your friends and your boyfriend.

"I hope you guys aren't busy. I was hoping I could talk to you all about something important, in person," you said over the phone. Your friends and boyfriend could tell you were nervous, and it likely wasn't going to be good news, but they agreed none the less.

From getting your shoes on, to riding your bike to the local park, your stomach turned and head spun. It felt like going into shock. Just going through the motions, and ever so often realizing the gravity of the situation.

You had to get off your bike a few times, nearly riding into traffic. All the scenarios went through your head, from good to bad. You'd likely get dumped, or have to dump Eric, and there was no telling how your friends would react.

"Before I break the news, I just want you to know that no matter how you react, I still care for you all," You said, a bead of worry sweat dropping from your chin to the woodchips.

You quickly blurted it out suddenly, hoping to get it all over with at once. Your friends were kind and understanding, yet visibly upset by the news. It was a lot to break to them, and take in at once. Only while explaining, did the true gravity of the situation hit you, and for a moment, you had regretted ever telling your mom about the letter.
