I woke up the next day in a hospital bed. The first thing I tried to do was stand, but I fell right to my knees. My arms and legs were wrapped with bandages. A nurse rushed in and helped me back onto the bed.
Not long after, the came nurse arrived with a wheelchair. She helped me into another room, one with Todoroki, Midoryria, and Iida. "(y/n)," they all said in unison. I greeted them with a smile, and we began to talk.
"Did you guys get any sleep last night?" I asked, Todoroki and Midoryia said they didn't, but Iida didn't respond. "It kind of feels like a miracle we're even alive, after everything that happened back there," Midoryia said, "Yeah I agree, It almost doesn't feel real," I replied.
"My reaction time was getting slower, and It became hard for me to move, and with my legs messed up, he could have easily killed me, same with you Midoryia," I stated, the green-haired boy looked at me, and nodded.
"Yeah, he could have killed any of us with ease, but I'm impressed with you Iida, he was actually trying to murder you, but you stood tall," Todoroki stated, I nodded my head. "That's not true, but I was-" Before Iida could finish, the door slid open.
"oh, so the injured youngins are awake," the older man said, "Grand Torino!" Midoryia yelled, "And manual too," Iida muttered. "Idiot, I could yell at you for hours right now, but before I do, you got a visitor," Grand Torino said, The four of us looked to the door.
A large dog man walked through the door. It was Hosu's chief of police. I tried to stand up, so did Midoryia, but he said we could stay seated, not before adding a woof to the end of his sentence.
"So, you're the kids who took down the hero killer," he spoke, "Stain has some serious injuries, severe burns, and several broken bones, right now he's in the hospital under strict guard," he spoke, we looked at him shocked.
"Heres a lesson you should have already learned, when quirks first formed, the police sought to maintain the status quo, they decided we wouldn't use quirks as weapons, that's when heroes came in, they could do what we couldn't if they were licensed, of course, the only reason heroes can use their quirks now, is because of a strict rule of ethics chosen by them," He continued. Although I already knew this, I listened attentively, "That's why it is against the law for uncertified citizens to use their quirks to cause injury," now I knew why that dog man was here, we had broken the law.
Not only were we in trouble, but our instructors were too. I felt a bit guilty, but we did what we thought was the best option.
"Now wait a minute, if Iida had not stepped in, Native would have been murdered, and If not for Midoryia, both of them would be dead, no one else even realized that the hero killer was in Hosu, are you saying we should have just sat by and watched people die?" Todoroki said Midoryia tried to calm him down, "So it's ok to break the law as long as it goes your way?" the chief continued. I understood what he was saying, but I was still a bit confused.
"But sir isn't it a hero's job to save people," Todorki said again, the chief continued but Todoroki just got more and more angered by the second. "You dam mutt," he growled while storming forward. Grand Torino stopped him and told him to hear him out.
The chief gave us two options, either get punished or say that Endevar saved the day. We wouldn't get any recognition at all, but that was the best option. We went with the second one and apologized for the trouble we caused.
The three adults left and the four of us were left alone. Midoriya had left to take a phone call, but right after, Iida's doctor came in. I wanted to hear what they had to say, but the nurse brought me back to my room next door.
Not long after, I hear a lot of commotion coming from the boy's room. I wheeled myself over, and Iida and Midoryia were laughing hysterically about the "Hand crusher," Todoroki filled me in and I started laughing, almost falling from the wheelchair.
Two days later,
Midoryia and I were instructed to stay at the hospital since we weren't fully healed. I went into his room and visited quite often. It had been five days since we started the internships and I had communicated with several of our classmates since.
Katsuki practically freaked out when he heard I was in the hospital, sometimes he felt more like a helicopter parent than a friend, but he cared. I think he mostly forgot about the picture since he didn't bring It up the whole time.
The story was that seven pro heroes and four highschool students stumbled across him, then Endevar came in and took care of the situation all by himself.
The news said that Todoroki, Iida, Midoryia, and me, all got our injuries during training accidents, and it seemed believable. Todoroki went back to our internship, but It was still a bit hard for me to walk, so I couldn't go.
I just hoped that everyone else was ok.

I just got done working with that shithead, Best Jeanist, when I checked the news. My heart dropped when I saw (y/n)'s name on the news. Apparently, she came across the hero killer and was in the hospital due to a training accident.
I texted her and she said I was overreacting, but why wouldn't I? Most people took me for someone who didn't often care for others, and I wasn't, so why did I care for her.
I had to admit, she was one of my only close friends, but this was a bit much. We continued to talk about our internships, and the worries left my head. To be honest, I almost forgot about the picture she sent me of her and Icy Hot. It's not like I really cared though.
What I was really worried about, was my damn hair. It had gotten so used to being flat, that It wouldn't go back anymore. I had to fix it before we got back to school. To be honest, all I wanted to do now, was go home.
