We are all on a journey! Our journey leads us on paths that are full of up hills and down hills and straight flat roads. Remember you are in ( U R N ) the middle of your joURNey everyday of your life. Although we look forward to the finish line of our journey, only God knows how and when that will be. There will be victories along the way but the final finish line of our life will signify the end of our race.
I found out today, while talking to David Gill, that we make our way through the path of life riding on the truth of our understanding. That truth to me is compared to a bicycle. A bicycle will always have two wheels. Those wheels will have spokes. Those spokes keep the wheel lined up and straight. When a spoke breaks, this causes the wheel to wobble, become out of whack or as cyclist know out of true. How often does a spoke break in our lives? How often does our journey have a wobble in it? How do we fix the wobble? How do we put that very important spoke back in the wheel of our truth, of our life to continue our journey? Could it be that certain people are our spokes? Could it be that our family members are our spokes? Could it be that our faith is a spoke? What are the spokes of your life? When a spoke breaks on some bikes, the wobble will become so severe that the rim will rub against the brake pads preventing movement. This is true in life. God wants us to take out all wobbles; God wants the wheels of life to roll true and straight. The journey will be tough everyone needs the wheels to roll smoothly. Find your broken spokes, fix them! The truth will set you free! Free yourself from the brakes that slow you down or make your journey too hard. Amen? Jesus is a great bicycle mechanic.
