There is a slang word in the high school vocabulary, which describes a person who is not trustworthy, as being shady. So of course, this made me start thinking of the possibilities.

Therefore, a shady student or person is representing the characteristics of a person of darkness. You see in people there is light and there is dark. There is good and there is bad. So imagine that there are the two sides of a circle, a dark side and a light side. The student has the choice to either live in the dark or live in the light. The dark would represent all the bad feelings that causes anxiety and the prison yard mentality. The light would be that of love and peace and just a sunny disposition. When a student is casting shade, he is being shady, he or she is up to something and is not worthy of trust. They often ask, why are people watching everything I do? Go figure. Not to generalize or anything, but I think most want to live a peaceful life. There are some that prefer the dark-side, they enjoy being mean and untrustworthy. The dark-side is bad and so is being shady or untrustworthy. A student will reflect the inner workings of where he wants to live. If you want to live a life in the dark, you will cast shade. If you chose to represent the light it will shine for all to see and people will be attracted to you and maybe want to find out how to get some of that light.
