A student sees the light. A boy with a bad attitude and a disrespectful demeanor realizes the effect on his life and the people around him. This student wanted to always defend himself and justify his rights as a student. "I was blind but now I see". There are the great stories of Jesus making a blind man see, a deaf man hear, a crippled man walk and a dead person come back to life. All these ailments can be metaphorical as well as physical. Blindness does not necessarily mean you cannot see; it can mean you are not aware of the effects of your actions. Deafness means you are not receptive to what people are trying to tell you. Being crippled can mean being unable to move because of fear or anxiety. Being brought back to life can mean that you are brought back to the person you once were. Open your eyes, clear your ears, walk in the way of truth and freedom, them come to the life that Jesus has meant for yours to live.

I was very proud of this young man's change.  I could see his whole demeanor was changed.  He was pleasant to be around and was not so defensive about everything that was said to him.  I even had this young man come into my office and advise another student that seem to have the same characteristics as he did.  He confessed that life was better at his house and he was able to get his cell phone and car back.  Make change.
