A well is a hole in the ground that has water in the bottom of it that is used to help clean things or most of all quench the thirst of those that need a drink.
Many people long to have things of this earth. As soon as they get what they want, there is always something else. They are never satisfied, there is nothing that completely fulfills them, and there is always something else.
Fame and fortune is that is enough? I often find some of the most messed up people are those who have it all. Is there ever enough money? Maybe, but I remember a famous rapper saying," The more money you have, the more problems you have".
So what is the answer? Why do some people have the well inside of them that is always empty, they are always trying to fill it with things that will never truly satisfy them in the way that is fulfilling.
This is just a thought, but if the well inside has cleaning power, why not clean up all the clutter of wanting. Why not just let go of the constant need for more? Let yourself be free from the trap of thinking; " if I only had this or if I only had that I would be satisfied". If you have a hole in your life let your faith fill it, not things or even people. Find that thing that makes you the most fulfilled on the inside and the rest will work out.
As Jesus told the woman at the well, " what I have to offer will quench your thirst for a life time."
