Many members of my congregation (high school students) experience, for the first time, the complications of a committed relationship. I think it is important, during the time of growth, to understand what to look for when investing time into another person. Girls especially have to be very smart in picking a possible candidate for the lifelong commitment of marriage and the production of offspring. With this being said, one has to look at the word love. When the ole terminator looks at the word love, he focuses on the letter V. You see, in a perfectly balanced relationship, both sides are equally invested into the partnership. Therefor the V will stay perfectly balanced on its' tip. If one side of the relationship is carrying too much weight, the V will lean towards that side. If both sides have too many issues, the V will fall apart. A well- balanced healthy relationship may teeter some to one side or the other. However, with enough counseling and communication the V may return to its proper balancing point. You have to evaluate relationships. Are they healthy, but most of all are they balanced?
